Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking an experienced High Speed Systems Engineer Lead to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced high-speed electronic systems for next-generation satellite and telecommunications platforms. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership responsibilities, driving architecture decisions, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring successful delivery of complex hardware systems throughout the product lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design and development of high-speed multilayer PCBs with controlled impedance.\nDefine system architecture for high-speed digital and mixed-signal platforms.\nLead the development of high-speed interfaces including DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and SerDes technologies.\nDrive signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and RF design reviews.\nOversee schematic design, PCB layout activities, and stack-up definition.\nPerform and supervise signal integrity, power integrity, and RF simulations.\nLead hardware validation, testing, debugging, and root cause analysis activities.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to hardware engineering teams.\nCoordinate activities across FPGA, RF, embedded software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.\nSupport project planning, technical risk assessment, and resource allocation.\nReview technical documentation and ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.\nSupport manufacturing, product qualification, and production ramp-up activities.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across hardware development processes.\nQualifications\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.\nMaster’s degree is considered a strong advantage.\nExperience:\nA minimum of 8 years of experience in high-speed hardware and systems engineering.\nProven experience leading technical projects and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExtensive experience with high-speed digital design and complex PCB development.\nStrong knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and transmission line theory.\nExperience with high-speed protocols including PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and SerDes.\nExperience in system integration, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electronic platforms.\nHands-on laboratory experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and related test equipment.\nExperience working in satellite, aerospace, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience leading hardware development teams.\nRF design experience in the GHz frequency range.\nExperience with satellite communications systems.\nFamiliarity with FPGA-based architectures and embedded systems.\nExperience with EMC/EMI compliance testing and certification.\nExperience using simulation tools such as HyperLynx, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent.\nKnowledge of product lifecycle management and systems engineering methodologies.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong leadership and mentoring capabilities.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.\nProven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational and project management abilities.\nAbility to make technical decisions in complex and fast-paced environments.\nStrategic thinking combined with a hands-on engineering approach.\nTechnology Stack:\nAltium Designer.\nCadence Design Systems.\nHyperLynx.\nADS (Advanced Design System).\nHFSS.\nOscilloscopes.\nSpectrum Analyzers.\nVector Network Analyzers (VNA).\nSignal Integrity and Power Integrity Analysis Tools.\nPCB Design and Simulation Software.\nMicrosoft Office Suite.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.\nAbility to work safely in laboratory environments using advanced electronic test equipment.\nAbility to support hardware integration, testing, and validation activities.\nMay require occasional travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and test locations.\nAbility to handle electronic hardware and laboratory equipment as required.\nThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
