This position will consult with the shop(s) and promote Repairify as it relates to diagnostics and calibrations.\nEssential functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\n\nServe as primary client contact as needed within the service process\nPromoting the necessity for diagnostic and calibrations at assigned shop\nResponsible for performing precise calibrations for all types of Advanced Drivers Assist System (ADAS) across most vehicle makes and models\nUtilize various OEM tools and diagnostic equipment to make the most effective recommendations for repairs and calibrations on multiple makes and models\nPerform pre and post vehicle calibration documentation, prepare report paperwork for customers\nRead and understand measurements in both standard and metric units\nPerform basic R/I procedures to access sensors and control modules\nAct as a subject matter expert and adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals on a consistent basis\nEvaluate information and data to provide comprehensive interpretation of technical information, electrical components, and Advanced Safety Systems (ADAS)\nContinuously learn new technical information and techniques in e-learning or other training sessions to stay well-informed with rapidly changing automotive technology\nResponsible for driving customer or company vehicles for the purpose of delivery, testing or calibration\nUtilize understanding of the structure and practices of various types of repair facilities, body shops, insurance carriers to facilitate effective working relationships\nCollaborate with other technicians to perform in depth diagnostic test plans\nAdhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.\nOther Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover all possible activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n1-2 years of car dealership experience OR experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician\nOEM scan tool and/or aftermarket scan tool experience and knowledge\nGeneral knowledge in identification of faults, error messages and modules\nGeneral knowledge in automotive mechanical and electrical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience\nIn depth understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo\nCurrent, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)\nBasic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical College Graduate, Automotive Field or equivalent\nExcellent written communication skills\nCompany designated certifications: ASE, I-Car, MECP\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment\nSupervisory responsibilities\nThis role has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork environment\nThis job operates inside an automotive repair shop environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.\nPhysical demands\nMust be able to lift up to 75 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.\nMust be able to carry and transport up to 75 pounds up to 20 feet.\nRequires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.\nRequires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.\nRequires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.\nRequires frequent driving and some typing.
