Your work will directly contribute to improving simulation fidelity, system performance and our ability to develop and validate vehicle technologies.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the ongoing development and evolution of the team's Gearbox Dyno and DIL Simulator.\nDevelop, integrate and maintain real-time models covering power unit, driveline, hydraulic and vehicle systems.\nDevelop and improve simulation and control solutions to enhance the accuracy, fidelity and performance of HIL systems.\nApply modelling, simulation and correlation techniques to validate system behaviour, investigate discrepancies and resolve technical issues.\nDevelop, integrate and maintain real-time and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation solutions.\nDevelop interfaces and integration between real-time systems, including the Gearbox Dyno and DIL Simulator.\nContribute to the development and maintenance of tools for system configuration, diagnostics, data visualisation, simulation and analysis.\nWork collaboratively across Simulation, Vehicle Modelling and Control Systems, communicating technical findings and contributing to engineering development activities.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nEssential:\nExcellent degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science or a closely related discipline.\nDemonstrable experience in real-time systems development, HIL simulation, mechatronics or control systems engineering.\nStrong understanding of modelling and simulation across multiple engineering domains, including mechanical, hydraulic, thermal and electrical systems.\nExperience applying correlation and validation techniques to identify, investigate and resolve modelling or system discrepancies.\nStrong problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to approach complex engineering challenges methodically.\nAbility to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams, taking ownership of tasks and delivering with minimal supervision.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.\nA calm, confident and results-driven approach, with the ability to deliver effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment.\n Desirable:\nExperience within Formula One, high-level motorsport, automotive or powertrain development.\nPostgraduate qualification (Master's or PhD) in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.\nExperience working with ECUs and real-time operating systems.\nFamiliarity with communication protocols such as EtherCAT and CAN.\nExperience with electric motor actuation, servo drives and hydraulic actuation.\nProgramming experience using MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python, C# or similar languages.\nExperience with simulation, control and data acquisition tools such as dSPACE, DYMOLA, AVL-PUMA, SystemMonitor/TAG SECU and ATLAS.\nFamiliarity with development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Git and Bitbucket.\nUnderstanding of numerical methods, optimisation, control theory, vehicle dynamics and vehicle performance simulation.\n\nMake an Impact\n At Aston Martin Aramco, we're driven by the pursuit of performance in every area of our operation.
