The position requires working at heights, participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation, performing site surveys, documenting as-builts, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have hands-on networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments, and a valid driver’s license.\nPerform installations, troubleshoot and repair of Astound Broadband Powered by Wave infrastructure including network connections from microwave and millimeter-wave radio headend to backbone equipment/hardware (interior and exterior)\nPart of a 24/7 on-call rotation\nPerform connects and disconnects, upgrades, downgrades, and relocates; install additional hand-offs and install or remove equipment\nNetwork Equipment Installation and Troubleshooting:Radio installation - microwave and millimeter-wave equipment.\nRouters and Switches\nCable Placement -Terminations and Splicing - Optical fiber and copper\nWi-Fi Equipment - indoor-outdoor\n\nBasic DC/AC installation, knowledge and best practices \nAs-Builts and Documentation - Create build history/document and upload to the internal WikiPerform Site Survey\n\nVarious tasks and special projects assigned by manager associated with the organization and company with the emphasis of driving efficiency and optimization\nWhat You Bring to the Table:\nRequired to work at heights installing telecom equipment/materials \nRF awareness preferred (will certify)\nBasic to Intermediate experience is required in the following areas:Physical, data-link and network protocols and architectures\nRouters\nFirewalls and switches\nSystem load balancing and redundant system architecture.\n\nAble to set up and or design simple to complex network involving wireless equipment, Cisco switches and routers\nDemonstrates ability to diagnose and solve problems\nExhibits the ability to follow direction and possesses the ability to follow through\nMust enjoy the challenge of technical concepts and communicate those concepts at varying levels\nBasic experience with LAN and WAN Technology\nAbility to comply with all Company implemented safety procedures\nKnowledge of basic mathematics and electronics\nVision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus\nStrong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills\nBasic knowledge of DC components and best practices\nBasic understanding of the physical network layer, CAT 5e/6, 66 blocks, 110 blocks, patch panels, fiber optic cables, etc.\nAbility to work in fast-paced and dynamic environments with limited supervision\nAbility to work independently\nAbility to work while standing 50 - 70% of the time\nAbility to work with small components and wires to make cable connections\nAbility to make cable connections in tight spaces by bending, reaching, twisting\nAbility to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires\nAbility to lift 50lbs repeatedly\nMust have the ability to communicate by telephone, correspondence, and in person\nMust possess a good command of the English language, including excellent enunciation, grammar and lack of slang\nMust possess a Valid driver's license\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:\n401k retirement plan, with employer match\n\nInsurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance\n\nPaid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization\n\nFloating Holiday: 40 hours per year\n\nPaid Holidays: 7 days per year\n\nPaid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws\n\nTuition reimbursement program\n\nEmployee discount program\n\n*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time position\nBase Salary: The base salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hour plus opportunities for benefits.
