Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.\nAssembly, Integration, and Test Technician\nAs an Assembly Integration and Test Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing satellite components, subassemblies, and fully integrated vehicles. The role requires both electrical and mechanical integration work to assemble the spacecraft as well as assisting with pneumatic and electrical testing.\nRole\nAssemble and test spacecraft and ground support equipment\nAssemble and integrate the spacecraft using engineering models and procedures. Assemblies include: structural parts and mechanisms, RF waveguides, antenna, electronic boxes, harnesses, coax cables, thermal blankets\nMaintain paperwork - work instructions, connector mate logs, test logs\nSet up, adjust, and calibrate standard test equipment to conduct functional and environmental testing using test procedures\nPerform spacecraft lifting and handling operations\nPerform spacecraft testing of communications, telemetry and command, thermal, power, and propulsion subsystems per the applicable procedure\nOperate subassembly and spacecraft pressure test consoles\nCollaborate with Production engineers to develop and document build procedures\nRequirements\n2+ years of fundamental experience in assembly, manufacturing or maintenance\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, test plans, and work to procedures\nAbility to perform spacecraft integration tasks in clean room environment\nAbility to operate cranes, man lifts, tugs & handling equipment\nExperience working with general hand tools and torque wrenches\nFamiliar with windows style PC operating systems\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\nClimbing ladders, long durations of standing, grasping, sitting, pulling, and physical bending movements\nMust be able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted\nWilling and able to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as required\nWilling and able to travel to support off-site launch site processing and environmental testing\nDon't meet them all? Please apply even if you do not meet all these criteria\nBonus\nExperience in the aerospace industry\nExperience with handling and integrating space flight components and spacecraft environmental testing\nExperience with pneumatics or hydraulics\nExperience in operating cranes, man lifts, forklifts, and handling equipment\nHands-on experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectral analyzers, etc.)\nUnderstanding and experience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and TVAC.\n50 hours a week expectation for our production team.
