Astranis designs, builds, and operates its satellites out of its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.\nEmbedded Software Engineer - Network Software\nAs a Embedded Software Engineer on the Network Software team at Astranis, you will be responsible for assisting with architecture, high level design choices, development, execution, and implementation of the flight software that commands and monitors the spacecraft. Additionally, you will mentor junior members and collaborate with other teams to ensure that the software you've implemented works on their hardware.\nThis role will contribute to both commercial and US Government programs. \nRole\nDevelop Software for the Flight Computer / Earth Stations Hub for our Satellites \nDevelop Firmware for control boards on the satellite/ Earth Stations Hub\nImprove and deliver reliable software through requirements generation, Design continuous integration, automated testing and code reviews\nCollaborate with multiple teams (Payload, Communications Ground Control, Telemetry)\nDevelop software in C++ to interface with Flight computer and interface with the custom hardware on the vehicle\nDeliver complex projects through incremental development\nRequirements\n2-4+ years of experience developing software for products in modern C++ or C\nFamiliarity with Software Development Methodologies and Design Patterns\nExperience with working on Communication Protocols (TCP/IP, I2C, SPI)\nGood Communication and Written Skills\nPassionate about Space Technology\nExperience with Building High Availability/High Reliability systems.\nBonus\nExperience with Python\nExperience with embedded Linux / POSIX systems\nExperience developing on and for VxWorks, Linux, FreeRTOS, or QNX Environments\nDemonstrated experience building, testing, and shipping production software\nExperience with safety critical development (FDA, FAA, Automotive)\nExperience Board Bringup, debugging / Integration of Hardware Software\nWhat we offer: \nAll our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.\nBase pay is just one component of Astranis’s total rewards package.
