# Analytical Science Intern

We are looking for rising juniors and seniors studying Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field for a 12-week internship role at our site in Gaithersburg, MD from May 24, 2027 to August 13, 2027. Position Description: Benchmark conversion of representative Thermo .raw files to machine/human-readable formats (eg: mzML) using open source tools. Inventory current MS software footprint across Analytical Science (time and cost spend). Map each vendor software workflow to open-source replacements and classify feasibility. Develop roadmap highlighting near-term migration candidates. Deliver a feasibility report detailing this work and present to relevant teams. Position Requirements: Rising juniors and seniors studying Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are required. Working proficiency in Python, including common scientific libraries (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib) is required.
