You’ll provide technical and improvement support across manufacturing operations, helping to increase equipment reliability, availability and performance while ensuring work is delivered safely and compliantly.\nWhat you’ll do\nIn this role, you’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other teams to identify opportunities, solve technical challenges and deliver sustainable improvements.\nYou’ll:\nWork with Production to integrate maintenance, improvement and manufacturing activities through effective maintenance planning.\nIdentify, prioritise and lead equipment and process improvement opportunities.\nReview equipment performance data to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement.\nUse problem-solving and improvement tools such as RCA, RCM, FMEA, TPM and value mapping.\nLead technical investigations and support the resolution of manufacturing and equipment issues.\nDeliver changes that improve equipment reliability, robustness, efficiency and performance.\nSupport compliant change control and ensure relevant GMP, safety and engineering requirements are considered.\nUse performance measures including OEE and Pareto analysis to identify and address recurring issues.\nCollaborate with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to deliver technical improvements.\nCoach and support colleagues, sharing your technical knowledge and helping to build capability across the team.\nSupport improvement initiatives and projects while balancing operational priorities.\nAct as an on-plant deputy for the Maintenance Manager when required.\nEssential experience and skills\nWe’re looking for someone with:\nA relevant technical or engineering degree, HNC or equivalent qualification.\nExperience delivering equipment, asset or process improvements within a highly regulated environment.\nExperience providing reactive and proactive technical support within manufacturing.\nThe ability to use data to evaluate equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.\nKnowledge of OEE and Pareto analysis, including using performance data to recommend and implement improvements.\nA good understanding of statistical data and analysis.\nExperience producing technical reports and documentation.\nKnowledge of relevant engineering and maintenance standards, with the ability to share knowledge and train others.\nDesirable experience\nIt would be beneficial if you have experience in some of the following areas:\nManufacturing maintenance.\nMaintenance Excellence or TPM principles.\nProcess improvement within a highly regulated environment.\nData analysis and delivery of improvement initiatives.\nProject or business process management.\nEquipment qualification.\nChange management.\nAseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing.\nWhy join us?\nThis is an opportunity to use your engineering expertise in a hands-on environment where your work can directly influence equipment reliability, manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.
