This includes planning, drug substance manufacture, drug product manufacture, packaging, labelling and distribution to depots / clinical investigator sites.\nThe Clinical Logistics team within CM&S has the accountability to ensure the distribution and logistics requirements of our supply chains are being met.\nReporting to the Senior Director Clinical Logistics and part of the Clinical Logistics team, the role is part of the Spend & Strategy sub-team, managing the CM&S Logistics budget and spend. Delivering operational, tactical and strategic activities and improvements relating to that area.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSupport the Senior Director, Clinical Logistics - Spend & Strategy to: \nEnsure the Logistics ‘Cost to Serve’ model provides the budgeting and spend accuracy and efficiency that the clinical programmes and projects require. \nMaintain network-wide spend visibility capabilities. \nExecute spend auditing and billing accuracy capabilities. \nManagement of vendors to ensure agreed service levels and key performance Indicators are delivered. \nLiaise with finance and budget holders to ensure financial compliance. \nIdentification and execution of Import VAT, duty and logistics spend optimisation opportunities. \nDefine and maintain SOPs/work instructions and business processes, aligned with the CM&S Logistics Business Process Owner’s (BPO) objectives. \nDrive data and digital maturity to improve processes. \nSet data standards, ensure master/reference data quality, and drive data-driven visibility (dashboards/analytics) to support decisions and continuous improvement. \nMaintain financial compliance, documentation accuracy; ensure audit readiness and effective CAPA.\nEducation, Qualifications, Skills and Experience\nEssential\nDegree in Supply Chain / logistics or other relevant business discipline \nA minimum of 6 years prior experience within a supply chain/logistics environment. \nWorking knowledge of the logistics industry and the various government agencies and regulations involved with the distribution of products. \nExperience of managing large and complex logistics budgets. \nAppropriate business and financial acumen. \nAdvanced Digital, AI and data literacy. \nExperience of delivering significant improvement projects and strategy changes. \nExperience of delivering significant improvement projects and strategy changes. \nExcellent analytical skills. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player, with the ability to identify and communicate key issues for resolution. \nAbility to effectively interact with all levels within functional areas, customers, outside service providers and with external regulatory authorities. \nAbility to evaluate/manage relationships with outside service partners. \nFluent English ability. \nDesirable\nExperience with lean tools and methodologies.\nFamiliarity of the pharmaceutical/clinical supply chain environment.\nDate Posted\n08-paź-2026Closing Date\n22-paź-2026AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
