Working closely with peer groups within the Facilities & Engineering group, SHE, Quality, Security, Procurement, Finance, IT, and site leadership, the role ensures service continuity, employee wellbeing, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the delivery of GMP and non-GMP cleaning services across production, laboratory, warehouse, office, welfare, and common areas, ensuring activities are planned, documented, and performed in accordance with approved procedures and contamination-control requirements.\nOversee cleaning specifications, frequencies, methods, materials, equipment, personnel competence, records, inspections, deviations, corrective actions, change controls, and audit readiness.\nResponsible for the GMP Pest Control program including third party vendor management, trend review, corrective actions, change controls, deviations and audit readiness.\nResponsible for the RMC Site Business Continuity Plan (BCP), authoring, continuous improvement and execution of tabletop exercises\nManage site security operations, including guarding services, access control, visitor management, patrols, badge and key administration, security systems, incident response, restricted-area controls, and emergency coordination.\nDirect café, vending, and related food services, including service quality, hours, menus, pricing or subsidy arrangements, food safety, allergen management, hygiene, sustainability, and customer experience. Collaborate closely with the Site Administrative coordinator regarding hosting and catering\nSupport Site CAPEX activities, compile business cases, quotes, facilitate decision making, facilitate and track action execution \nSupport Facilities & Engineering leadership with processing, approving, and tracking building-related invoices.\nEnsure workplace amenities and employee-facing services-including meeting and collaboration spaces, reception-related services, lockers, changing facilities, showers, rest areas, and consumables-are safe, clean, functional, accessible, and appropriately stocked.\nLead day-to-day performance of outsourced service providers by managing contracts, service-level agreements, key performance indicators, staffing, pricing, training, documentation, invoices, service reviews, risks, and escalations.\nClosely collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance team. Support of PM/CAL vendors on site by hosting and support in completion of necessary documentation. \nMaintain cleanroom gowning qualification for Grade B.\nMaintain governance and compliance with applicable GMP, GxP, EHS, security, food safety, corporate, and legal requirements; support audits and inspections and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.\nDevelop and manage the facility services budget, forecasts, resources, and cost controls while improving value without compromising safety, quality, compliance, continuity, or employee experience.\nUse operational data, customer feedback, audits, benchmarking, and lessons learned to improve service quality, resilience, sustainability, waste reduction, digital service requests, amenity utilization, and supplier performance.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDegree, diploma, or equivalent professional qualification or experience in facilities management, business management, security management, operations, engineering, or related discipline.\n3+ years substantial experience managing integrated facility services in a regulated pharmaceutical, manufacturing, laboratory, research, or similarly complex environment.\nDemonstrated experience managing outsourced service providers, contracts, budgets, service-level agreements, key performance indicators, risk assessments, incidents, and corrective and preventive actions.\nExperience leading services such as GMP cleaning, physical security, food or café operations, workplace amenities, or comparable employee-facing services.\nWorking knowledge of applicable GMP/GxP, SHE, security, food safety, audit, inspection-readiness, and business-continuity expectations.\nStrong leadership, communication, organization, judgement, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, respond effectively to incidents, investigate service failures, make decisions under pressure, and drive accountability for corrective actions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional certification in facilities management, workplace services, security, food safety, occupational health and safety, or supplier management.\nExperience working in a GxP environment and supporting regulatory inspections or internal and external audits.\nCommercial and sourcing experience, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract renewal.\nExperience applying data, benchmarking, Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methods to facility services.\nMaryland Stationary Engineers license Grade 3\nKnowledge, Skills, and Behaviors:\nStrong understanding of facility-services operations and the ability to translate business, regulatory, and employee needs into practical service standards.\nCommercially aware, data-informed, customer-focused, and committed to high standards of safety, quality, compliance, integrity, and inclusion.\nEffective relationship builder with senior leaders, operational teams, employees, contractors, suppliers, and external partners.\nContinuous-improvement mindset with the ability to lead change across diverse internal and contracted teams.\nThe annual base pay for this position ranges from $89,874.40 - $134,811.60 USD. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
