TheGlobal Commercial Director, Hematology - Customer Engagement & Advocacy is a key member of the Global Hematology leadership and commercial teams, accountable for shaping and advancing theFranchise Customer Engagement and Advocacy strategy across the Hematology portfolio.
The roleleadsatherapeutic-areaand portfolio approach across CLL, NHL and Multiple Myeloma, spanning established brands, emergingassetsand early pipeline, and evolves Customer Engagement from individual brand initiatives toward an integrated Franchise model.
The role is accountable for building strong external partnerships, developing impactful Advocacy strategies, transformingthe customerexperience through aOneAZapproach, andleveragingmajor scientific and external engagement opportunities to strengthen AZ's leadership and generate actionable insights.
The role alsoleadstheAdvocacy capability,establishingthe frameworks, tools and ways of workingrequiredto scale effective Customer Engagement across Global, Regions and Markets.
Reporting to theGlobal HematologyFranchise, the role works closely with Commercial, Medical, R&D, Insights & Analytics, Market Access, Communications,Regionsand Markets to deliver strategic and measurable impact across the Hematology portfolio.

Lead Global Hematology Customer Engagement Strategy
Define and evolve theFranchise-wide Customer Engagement strategy across CLL, NHL and Multiple Myeloma, spanning current and future portfolio priorities.
Translate therapeutic area and portfolio priorities into differentiatedCustomer Engagement strategies, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
Establish clear priorities,governanceand ways of working across Global, Regions and Markets.
Generate and translate customer insights into actionable inputs for Franchise, therapeutic area,brandand development strategies.
Ensure strong integration across Commercial, Medical, R&D, Insights & Analytics and Market Access.
Lead Global Hematology Advocacy Strategy &Impact
Define and lead theHematology Franchise Advocacy strategy, in partnership with Regions and Markets.
Translate strategic priorities into clearAdvocacyobjectives.
Lead KEE mapping,segmentationand prioritization, including identification of priority experts and emerging leaders.
Support development of market and individual KEE engagement plans, with clearobjectives,actionsand desired outcomes.
Define and trackAdvocacy KPIs and impact measures, using insights and performance to refine priorities and plans.
Leverage Advocacy and KEE engagement to strengthen strategy, generateinsightsand build AZ as apreferred partner in Hematology.
Transform the Hematology Customer Experience
Enable aOneAZapproach that provides customers witha consistent,coordinatedand differentiated experience across AZ stakeholders.
Establish seamless cross-functional ways of working that remove barriers to effective customer collaboration.
Improve prioritization,coordinationand transparency of customer engagement across Global,Regionsand Markets.
Deploy tools,platformsand processes that enable apersonalized and differentiated customer experience.
Lead Strategic External Engagement & Global Congress Strategy
Define and lead the global Hematology strategy for major scientific congresses and strategic external engagement moments.
Turn keyscientific meetings into high-impact opportunities forscientific engagement, thought leadership, relationship building, insight generation and AZ visibility.
Develop integratedobjectivesand engagement strategies with Commercial, Medical, R&D,Advocacyand regional teams.
Ensure external engagement insights are systematically captured,synthesizedand translated into actionable recommendations for the Franchise.
Drive Portfolio Impact & Build Future Capability
Partner with therapeutic area and asset teams to ensure Customer Engagement and Advocacy supportportfolio priorities, launches, lifecycle milestones and long-term value creation.
Identifyopportunities toleveragecustomer relationships,insightsand engagement platforms across therapeutic areas whilemaintainingdisease-specific relevance.
Support key portfolio milestones through strategic Customer Engagement and Advocacy.
Lead theCustomer Engagement and Advocacy capability model, including frameworks, tools, standards,dashboardsand best practices.
Build capabilities and develop talent across Global, Regions and Markets to support the Hematology Franchise ambition.
Influence and align stakeholders across the global matrix to drive execution and measurable outcomes.
EssentialSkills
Significant experienceinglobal pharmaceutical commercial, marketing, Customer Engagement or Advocacy roles, preferably in Oncology orHematology.
Proventrack recordof developing and deliveringglobal strategies across multiple markets,brandsor portfolio assets.
Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with senior external experts and stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking, businessacumenand ability to translate customer and external insights into action.
Proven ability to lead through acomplex global matrix and influence without authority.
Strong cross-functional experience with Commercial, Medical, R&D, Insights, MarketAccessand/or regional teams.
Excellent communication,influencingand stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
10+ years' experience in pharmaceutical development and/or commercialisation.
DesirableSkills
Experience inHematologyand/or Oncology, ideally across multiple therapeutic areas or assets.
Experience leading Advocacy, Key Expert Engagement, CustomerEngagementand/or congress strategy.
Strong understanding of the clinical and scientific environment and ability to engage credibly with external experts.
Experience building capabilities, operatingmodelsor new ways of working across a global organization.
Experience supporting launches, major datamilestonesor lifecycle strategies.
Advanced degree or MBA.
The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $231,988.80 to $347,983.20. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives-an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
