With science at the heart of everything we do, AstraZeneca is where breakthroughs born in the lab become transformative medicines for some of the world’s most complex diseases.\nAs Head of Diagnostics, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and driving our diagnostics strategy, working across Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to strengthen the role of diagnostics within the patient journey.\nYou will operate at the cutting edge of science, bringing together scientific expertise, strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset to help address unmet medical needs and enable better patient outcomes.\nKey Accountabilities\nLead and coordinate diagnostics strategy and related Medical Affairs activities, ensuring alignment with company strategy, scientific standards, regulations and applicable procedures.\nProvide scientific and medical leadership on diagnostics-related literature, studies and emerging evidence, supporting relevant Medical and cross-functional teams.\nLead and oversee diagnostics-related field medical activities, including planning, execution and reporting.\nEnsure the scientific accuracy, quality and compliance of relevant promotional and non-promotional materials within delegated authority.\nLead the development and delivery of high-quality diagnostics training for Medical and relevant field teams.\nCoordinate diagnostics-related Advisory Boards and scientific engagements in line with applicable SOPs and compliance requirements.\nDevelop impactful scientific and training materials to support Medical and diagnostics strategies.\nPartner cross-functionally to support diagnostics-related approval, reimbursement and regulatory activities in line with company strategy.\nEnsure the scientific accuracy and validity of diagnostics-related content in patient materials and relevant product information.\nEstablish and continuously enhance Medical Affairs tools and resources to enable consistent and high-quality execution.\nCollaborate with Medical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment across Therapeutic Areas.\nManage diagnostics scorecards and dashboards, and lead or contribute to regional, international and global diagnostics projects.\nEssential Skills/Experience\nUniversity degree from a Medical Faculty\nMinimum 5 years of Medical Affairs experience, including at least 2 years within the pharmaceutical industry\nAdvanced command of written and spoken English\nStrong leadership, coaching, feedback and feedforward skills\nExcellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills\nStrong facilitation and moderation capabilities\nStrong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions\nStrategic thinking combined with a strong scientific mindset\nNo restrictions on frequent travel and a valid driving licence\nBased in Istanbul \nDesirable Skills/Experience\nPrevious managerial or people leadership experience\nExperience within Oncology and/or Hematology, and/or Diagnostics\nExperience working with diagnostics and/or precision medicine\nExperience collaborating across Medical, Commercial, Market Access and Regulatory functions\nExperience contributing to regional, international or global projects\nWhy AstraZeneca? \nAt AstraZeneca, our ambition is to transform the lives of patients by pushing the boundaries of science.\nOur innovative pipeline and collaborative culture create opportunities to work on meaningful challenges, shape the patient ecosystem and contribute to solutions for some of the world’s most complex diseases.\nHere, scientific curiosity, collaboration and bold thinking come together to create meaningful impact for patients around the world.\nAre you ready to make a meaningful difference and help shape the future of diagnostics?
