Your work will be visible, meaningful, and grounded in real-world needs.\nIn this role, you will build end-to-end applications, integrate systems, and turn data into insight-all within a supportive, Agile environment that embraces experimentation, continuous improvement, and the responsible use of AI tools to move faster with confidence.\nAccountabilities:\nFull-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain user-facing interfaces and server-side services using Java, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and relevant frameworks to deliver secure, high-quality features.\nSDLC Excellence: Support the full software development lifecycle-coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and maintenance-to ensure reliable and predictable delivery.\nAPI and Integration: Design, develop, and integrate APIs, databases, and cloud-based solutions to connect systems and streamline data and process flows.\nData Visualization: Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modelling and visualization, to turn data into actionable insight.\nArchitecture and Compliance: Participate in technical design reviews and ensure alignment with architecture, security, quality, and regulatory standards.\nAgile Delivery: Work within Scrum and Agile teams to deliver increments, resolve technical issues, and continuously improve ways of working.\nAI-Enabled Engineering: Use approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing, and debugging with appropriate review and validation to uphold quality and security.\nContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and adoption of best practices to increase speed, resilience, and scalability.\nCollaboration and Support: Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues, support application maintenance, and raise service reliability.\nOperational Insight: Assist with management reporting and application or service performance information to support data-driven decisions.\nEssential Skills/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a comparable discipline, with two or more years of relevant experience.\nExperience with Java and/or .NET/C# development and software design patterns.\nKnowledge of software testing phases, techniques, debugging, and maintenance.\nExperience working in Scrum teams and applying Agile methodologies.\nExperience with SQL, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and application integration.\nExperience with Power BI and data visualization.\nFamiliarity with Docker, SaaS, CI/CD, or comparable deployment technologies.\nExperience using AI coding assistants responsibly, including reviewing AI-generated code for quality, security, and compliance.\nDesirable Skills/Experience:\nExperience in an IT or information services environment.\n\nUnderstanding of service delivery KPIs, including SLA and Mean Time to Resolution.\n\nExperience working in a quality, compliance, or regulated environment.\n\nWhy AstraZeneca:\nHere, technology fuels science and scale meets speed.
