You’ll fix technical issues, respond to breakdowns, support the introduction of new equipment and find opportunities to improve performance.\nYou’ll bring expertise in your own engineering field while building your skills across other areas. We’ll give you opportunities to learn, develop and make a real contribution to how we maintain and improve our engineering systems.\nWhat you’ll do:\nWorking within our Engineering team, you’ll:\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance safely, optimally and on schedule\nDiagnose faults and respond to equipment breakdowns, helping improve availability\nMaintain engineering documentation and complete SAP notifications accurately and on time\nCarry out compliance testing, calibration and equipment set-up in line with procedures\nIdentify equipment performance or compliance issues and raise them appropriately\nUse engineering data to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement\nSupport and lead continuous improvement activities and engineering projects\nUse tools and methodologies including LEAN, TPM, RCM, RCA and CBM\nFollow change control processes and safe systems of work\nSupport, train and mentor less experienced technicians, operators and new starters\nWork closely alongside colleagues from Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other site teams\nMaintain your own technical, SHE and GMP training while continuing to develop your multiskilled engineering capability.\nDepending on your technical background and area of responsibility, you could support systems including:\nHV and LV electrical distribution and emergency backup systems\nElectrical inspections\nFire alarm and fire protection systems\nControl and instrumentation\nGas alarm systems\nCompressed air\nSteam and condensate\nWater systems.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nOur ideal candidate brings:\nA good understanding of engineering principles and technical expertise within a relevant field\nKnowledge of GxP procedures and Safety, Health and Environment requirements\nGood English language skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the assurance to collaborate with colleagues across the business\nGood organisational skills and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards\nSkill in balancing competing priorities while handling a varied workload\nA proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team\nThe confidence to work through changing priorities and ambiguity.\nIt would be great if you also have:\nYou don’t need to tick every box, but experience in any of the following would be valuable:\nA similar manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment\nProject planning\nProject coordination and guiding transitions\nInfluencing and facilitation\nEnd-to-end supply chain processes\nSystems such as EUSAP or Coupa\nMicrosoft Office, including Word, presentation software, and Excel.\nPlease note:\nThis role is internally aligned to SA91 Grade 10\nWhy join us?:\nThis is an opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a varied role.
