This is an opportunity to lead a manufacturing team in a highly regulated environment, with responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement.\nThis role will be a for fixed 6 month period, and is open to those with the required experience outside the department.\nWhat you’ll do\nAs Process Leader, you’ll oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure your area delivers safely, efficiently and in line with production plans and regulatory standards. You’ll lead a team of approximately 12 to 20 people, either directly or through Team Leaders, creating an inclusive environment where people can perform at their best.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nLead daily manufacturing operations in line with safety, quality, cost and delivery targets\nCoach, support and develop team members, providing clear objectives and constructive feedback\nManage team performance, development, attendance, resources and shift coverage\nMaintain compliance with cGMP, SHE and business procedures\nReview production records and ensure deviations and quality issues are addressed promptly\nPromote standardised ways of working, 5S and Lean manufacturing principles\nUse production and quality data to identify risks and improve performance\nManage people and non-people expenditure within agreed budgets\nWork closely with colleagues across manufacturing, quality, engineering, safety and supply chain\nLead the team confidently through operational and organisational change\nEssential experience\nYou will have:\nA degree or equivalent relevant experience\nLine management experience within manufacturing, specifically with working knowledge of AstraZeneca manufacturing department\nHave demonstrated skills in deviation management, GMP documentation review and aseptic observations\nExperience applying Lean manufacturing principles\nExperience working in a unionised environment\nDesirable experience\nIt would be beneficial if you also have:\nExperience coaching teams and embedding Lean manufacturing practices\nKnowledge of safety, health and environmental principles\nExperience working with FDA, cGMP or another regulated quality system\nExperience in formulation, filling, packaging, validation, technology transfer or change control\nWhy join us?\nYou’ll have the opportunity to lead a skilled manufacturing team, shape how work is delivered and contribute to meaningful improvements across safety, quality and performance.
