This role will orchestrate end-to-end launch planning and execution, bringing together Medical, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance, Analytics and Operations, while strengthening the commercial capabilities required to maximize launch readiness and accelerate patient impact.\nMain Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end Launch Excellence process for Rare Diseases across the Andean Cluster, from early planning through launch and post-launch optimization.\nOrchestrate cross-functional launch teams, ensuring alignment, clear priorities, accountability, milestones and effective execution.\nLead early launch and feasibility assessments, identifying opportunities, risks, dependencies and key strategic decisions.\nAdapt global and regional launch frameworks and best practices to the realities of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador and the needs of each Rare Disease asset.\nEstablish and monitor launch KPIs and readiness indicators, using data, insights and risk management to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.\nLead the commercial capability and training strategy for the Andean Rare Diseases Unit, identifying current and future capability needs.\nAnticipate launch-specific training needs and partner with Medical, Marketing, Market Access and regional/global teams to ensure timely and compliant readiness.\nPromote responsible, AI-enabled ways of working to enhance launch planning, insights, content development and learning.\nAct as a strategic partner to the RDU Business Unit Director and leadership team on launch readiness, organizational capabilities and execution risks.\nFoster a launch culture focused on collaboration, agility, accountability, continuous learning and disciplined execution.\nKey Requirements\nUniversity degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Health Sciences or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated track record of successful pharmaceutical product launches, including specialty care products.\nProven experience leading complex cross-functional launch programs or strategic projects from planning through execution.\nStrong understanding of the pharmaceutical launch ecosystem, including Medical, Market Access, Commercial, Analytics, Operations and field execution.\nExperience leading through influence in matrix organizations and engaging senior stakeholders.\nStrong strategic thinking, project management, communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.\nExperience identifying capability gaps and developing training or capability-building initiatives for commercial or field teams.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, assets and countries in a fast-changing environment.\nAdvanced English and Spanish proficiency.\nStrong digital skills in Teams, Copilot, AZChatGPT, PowerPoint, and Power BI.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in Rare Diseases and/or highly specialized, complex-care markets.\nExperience across more than one of the following areas: Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Commercial Excellence or Business Excellence.\nExperience with digital learning solutions, analytics and approved generative AI tools.\nWhy AstraZeneca?\nAt AstraZeneca, we follow the science to transform the lives of patients.
