This dynamic environment calls for visionary, agile professionals who thrive in change and are motivated to help shape the future of healthcare in KSA.\nROLE SUMMARY\nThe Tender Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maximizing the company’s opportunities to secure contracts with government. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and supply chain teams to deliver competitive and compliant tender proposals.\nWhat you’ll do\n1. Tender Process Management:\nAnalyze and interpret tender requirements for pharmaceutical products, ensuring full compliance with specifications and eligibility criteria.\nDevelop, coordinate, and submit high-quality tender documents within deadlines.\nMaintain a comprehensive tender tracking system to monitor progress and deadlines.\n2. Strategic Planning:\nIdentify and evaluate tender opportunities in local and international markets.\nAssess the feasibility and profitability of potential contracts.\nCollaborate with the sales and business development teams to align tender strategies with company objectives.\n3. Documentation and Compliance:\nPrepare all necessary documentation, including technical proposals, pricing schedules, and certifications.\nEnsure all submissions comply with legal, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.\nManage and update a library of pre-qualification documents and tender responses.\n4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with procurement, production, regulatory, and finance teams to gather required information and ensure readiness for bids.\nLiaise with external stakeholders such as suppliers, distributors, and regulatory bodies to obtain required certifications and endorsements.\n5. Risk Management:\nIdentify potential risks associated with tender participation and propose mitigation strategies.\nAnalyze feedback from unsuccessful bids to improve future submissions.\n6. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.\nEssential Capabilities:\nFor internal:\nPublic business experience is a must.\nMinimum of 3 years in AstraZeneca\nFor external:\nTender management experience is a must.\nMinimum of 3 years in pharmaceutical industries.\nMinimum of 1 year experience in Key Account management in the pharmaceutical industry.\n\nFor both internals & externals:\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.\nAdvanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Pharmaceutical Management) is preferred.\nStrong understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance requirements.\nExcellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.\nAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).\nExceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.\nAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.\nAnalytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.\nFamiliarity with e-tendering platforms and tools is preferred.\nWillingness to travel as required.\nFluency in English is an advantage.\nWhy AstraZeneca?\nAt AstraZeneca we’re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
