Onsite you will set the bar high, delivering your work to a meticulous standard. Advising and closely coordinating with others, including lead engineers and the project manager, you will be part of the team delivering first-class installations in an economical and timely manner.\nYou will be supported by, and be working closely with, multiple parties including Astreya AV lead engineers, control systems programmers, colleagues in project management, our systems design and project engineering teams, and our logistics support operatives.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide end-to-end system engineering and quality assurance on a wide range of integrated audiovisual and video conferencing technologies in both the corporate and public sectors. \nHave a major input to the success of a project and play a pivotal role in the future success of the company. \nTake ownership of the delivery of the AV systems integration process, both on the projects you are assigned to and generally, analysing, documenting and implementing best practises for installation work.\nMain Duties:\nInstallation of AV systems to the highest standards including - 1st fix works - installing containment, cable pull and structural fixings etc. - 2nd fix install of equipment, patching and configuration - Handover checks & assist with commissioning\nWork collaboratively with other members of the install team to achieve deadlines together and of consistent quality\nInterpret and follow technical and construction drawings\nPreparing equipment and other parts for the next installation\nFollow and maintain housekeeping standards onsite\nCarrying out maintenance visits (planned and reactive) to fault-find and undertake repairs\nAssist in improving efficiency and project delivery by ensuring processes and good working practices are maintained\nAttend team briefings and be proactive in providing ideas and suggestions\nReport progress and issues to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager to ensure the team meets the project's goals\nProviding feedback and support to the Project Manager following completion of an installation, including help with commissioning or snagging\nAttend training as appropriate for the role,\nAdditional Duties (As & When Required):\nFrom time to time, the post holder will also be required to perform additional duties as listed below:\nAV Meeting Room Support\nEnsure all multimedia/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order\nAV equipment set-up and support\nPresentation/multimedia meeting room support, including duration support\nAssist with support for multimedia broadcasting\nQuick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests\nFaults & Room Checks\nCarry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure\nEnsure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner\nProactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly\nProviding first-line support, including on-the-spot diagnosis and rectification of minor faults and problems as and when they occur.\nCarry out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments\nExperience & Skills Required:\nA positive attitude, a ‘can-do’, ‘team first’ approach to your work.\nFlexible approach to working schedules to include out of hours (early or late) and weekends\nWorking unsupervised when necessary\nRead and understand AV schematics\nData gathering, reporting, metrics and administrative skills\nAV / VC Systems Knowledge in a Corporate environment ( Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco, Blue Jeans, Pexip, etc.)\nUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking\nUnderstanding of different audio and video protocols and codecs required\nAbility to draft and present technical reports in English\nSkills and experience that make you proficient in installation of modern audio, videoconferencing and AV systems.\nAn understanding of the end-to-end complexities of an audiovisual and video installation project.\nEvening/overnight and weekend working will be required\nSalary Range\n$17.36 - $27.40 USD (Hourly)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.\nFurther, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
