This role involves hands-on execution of installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment moves, and decommissioning activities in accordance with established procedures and operational standards. The Technician II applies solid technical knowledge to resolve routine and moderately complex issues, escalates complex or unfamiliar problems when required, and contributes to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality data center environment.\nScope:\nWorks as an experienced individual contributor with solid technical knowledge and increasing autonomy in executing day-to-day data center operations.\nPerforms equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, moves, changes, and decommissioning activities in accordance with established procedures and standards.\nApplies technical judgment to diagnose and resolve routine and moderately complex infrastructure issues, escalating complex issues when appropriate.\nFollows established processes, safety requirements, documentation standards, and operational procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.\nCollaborates with team members and other technical groups to complete data center activities and resolve operational issues.\nSupports knowledge sharing and assists less experienced team members with day-to-day technical activities when required.\nIdentifies opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation, and efficiency and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.\nYour Roles and Responsibilities:\nWorking in Client’s Data center, providing 24x7 technical support;\nResponsible for installing, moving, maintaining, and decommissioning hardware including cabinets, shelves, power strips, rails, fiber/copper/other cables, servers, storage, and other data center devices.\nConfirm, identify, and label devices, racks, and cables to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational standards.\nWork within a standard ticketing system, providing clear, timely, and appropriate customer and stakeholder communications.\nMaintain accurate documentation of work performed, including updates to records, diagrams, inventory, and operational logs to support transparency and audit readiness.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), program policies, safety policies, and security requirements while meeting established quality and productivity standards.\nPerform routine and moderately complex troubleshooting of data center hardware, cabling, power, and connectivity issues, escalating complex or unfamiliar issues when required.\nCollaborate with other technicians, engineering teams, and site operations teams to complete installations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and other operational tasks.\nProvide day-to-day technical support and knowledge sharing to less experienced technicians when required, while working within established procedures and guidelines.\nIdentify potential issues, process gaps, and opportunities for improving operational efficiency, quality, safety, and documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport the onboarding of new team members by sharing operational knowledge and reinforcing established procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, security, and operational standards while carrying out data center activities.\nEscalate complex technical issues and operational challenges to senior technicians, engineering teams, or site leadership as appropriate.\nMaintain a professional and collaborative working relationship with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.\nOther duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this position.\nRequired Qualifications/Skills:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 to 5 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nUnderstanding of Data Center best practices (i.e. basic fault tolerance, cable routing, calculating power usage) \nknowledge of Data-Center electrical, HVAC, and bandwidth infrastructures as well as fiber/copper topologies\nUnderstanding of networking components and infrastructures \nExperience with cable management and knowledge of how to run fiber and copper in a data center.\nAble to operate material handling equipment - server lifts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified) \nAbility to cable systems (power/copper/fiber/other) correctly based on ticket requirements and SOP standards \nKnowledge of copper and fiber testers\nEffectively utilize the ticket management systems \nAbility to adapt to changing priorities, conditions, and circumstances \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English\nWorking knowledge of computer hardware \nProficiency working with standard desktop PC tools and applications, such as MS Office, MS Outlook, web browsers, etc. \nMust provide own transportation to work locations \nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications in Data Center technologies are desired \nHands on experience in electrical, HVAC, and data center infrastructures\nWorking knowledge of networking components and infrastructures, including Wi-Fi\nPhysical Demand & Work Environment:\nPhysically assist in moving and racking equipment. \nAble to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds \nMust have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing\nMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment\nMust be able to use a computer\nMust have the ability to communicate effectively \nSome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers\nSalary Range\n32,400.00 - 40,500.00 EUR (Annual)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.\nFurther, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
