The role involves investigating and resolving network incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1 support, performing network changes, monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues, and working with Level 3 engineering teams and vendors on complex problems.\nThe engineer will work across technologies such as switching, routing, firewalls, wireless networks, WAN/LAN connectivity, network monitoring, and data-centre infrastructure while following established operational procedures, security standards, and change-management processes.\nScope:\nProvide operational support for enterprise and data-centre network infrastructure.\nSupport LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and network connectivity.\nTroubleshoot Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.\nMonitor network infrastructure and respond to alerts, incidents and service requests.\nImplement approved network changes, upgrades, configurations and hardware replacements.\nSupport network performance, availability and connectivity troubleshooting.\nMaintain network documentation, configuration records and operational procedures.\nCoordinate with Level 3 engineering teams, vendors and service providers for complex issues.\nSupport incident, problem and change-management processes in accordance with operational standards.\nYour Roles and Responsibilities:\nProvide Level 2 technical support for enterprise and data-centre network infrastructure.\nDiagnose and resolve network incidents, connectivity issues and service requests.\nTroubleshoot routing, switching, firewalls and network issues.\nMonitor network infrastructure and respond to alerts and service-impacting events.\nPerform approved network configurations, changes, upgrades and hardware replacements.\nConduct structured troubleshooting and escalate complex or unresolved issues to Level 3 engineering teams.\nSupport incident, problem and change-management processes.\nCoordinate with vendors, service providers and cross-functional infrastructure teams to resolve network issues.\nMaintain accurate network documentation, configuration records and troubleshooting procedures.\nParticipate in network maintenance, service restoration and continuous improvement activities.\nEnsure all work follows established security, operational and change-management standards.\nRequired Qualifications/Skills:\nBachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience \nHave a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications\nBuilds productive internal and external working relationships\nExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action\nFamiliarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies\nUnderstanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity\nPreferred Qualifications:\nIndustry-recognized networking certification such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, Arista ACE, or equivalent.\nExperience supporting data-centre, enterprise, or 24×7 network operations environments.\nExposure to network automation or scripting\nPhysical Demand & Work Environment:\nMust have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing\nMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment\nMust be able to use a computer\nMust have the ability to communicate effectively \nSome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers\nSalary Range\n50,640.00 - 63,300.00 EUR (Annual)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.\nFurther, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
