This position requires the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.\nScope:\nApplies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues\n\nWorks on problems of moderate scope\n\nReceives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects\n\nThis position requires flexibility with shift schedules, including weekend coverage (Saturday or Sunday) and the ability to work either morning or swing shifts. ie. Be based in the Eastern Time Zone and start work at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM Pacific Time, or\n Be based in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone and work until 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM Pacific Time.\n\nYour Roles and Responsibilities:\nMajor duty:\nServing as the first point of defense for all network-related incidents, providing 24x7network support for production and corporate network. Technical skills:\nTroubleshooting layer 1-3 issues and maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN, FHRP, VLAN, STP, etc. and related services. Daily jobs:\nProactively monitor production network health, assess potential risks and take mitigation actions to ensure quick service restoration.\nDeliver customer-centric support through multiple communication channels.\nCreate and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network changes management, issue analysis and mitigation strategies\n\nInstall, configure and maintain various network hosts and services like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints\n\nPerform network maintenances/upgrades (often during normal working hours, but sometimes during the evening or weekend)\n\nTroubleshooting network issues and outages\n\nParticipate in global production and corporate network including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure\n\nHandle multiple vendor switch on various servers in dealing with hardware/software issues\n\nHandle traffic, and any queries raised by ISP/Partners\n\nProvide support for any incidents such as input errors, CRC, RMA etc.\n\nWork directly with ISP/Vendors on fixing any issues related to network\n\nOther duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this position\n\nThis is a shift-based position and may include weekend or swing shifts.\n\nRequired Qualifications/Skills:\nBachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nHave a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, active directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications\n\nBuilds productive internal and external working relationships\n\nExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action\n\nFamiliarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies\n\nUnderstanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity\n\nCCNA or equivalent\n\nPhysical Demand & Work Environment:\nMust have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing\n\nMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment\n\nMust be able to use a computer\n\nMust have the ability to communicate effectively\n\nSome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers\n\nSalary Range\n$72,960.00 - $115,200.00 USD (Salary)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.\nFurther, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
