Additionally, the candidate will ensure that all network documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.\n\nThis role suits individuals with a strong background in OSP engineering, a passion for technology, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n\nResponsibilities\nFiber Administration\nApply expertise in OSP fiber administration practices to maintain and enhance the fiber network.\n\nFiber Optic Troubleshooting , OTDR Testing and Analysis\n\nAnalyze OTDR testing to assess fiber optic cable integrity and analyze test results to ensure optimal performance.\n\nGIS and Record Maintenance\nUtilize GIS-based fiber management systems for network planning and updates.\n\nReview construction as-built drawings and maintain accurate and up-to-date network records.\n\nVendor and Stakeholder Coordination\nManage relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth coordination of tasks and deliverables.\n\nProject Management\nLead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are\n\nprioritized and completed within deadlines.\n\nMonitor OKRs and dashboards to track project progress and outcomes.\n\nAttention to Detail and Quality Assurance\n\nReview and edit splice matrices for accuracy and verify new scopes of work.\n\nMaintain data integrity across software tooling systems.\n\nTeam Leadership and Coordination\nOrganize and lead meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress.\n\nProvide guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.\n\nTechnical Proficiency\nUtilize software tools such as FIM, ACC, Gaudi, Ultron, and Glasswork (where applicable).\n\nCandidates with experience in equivalent industry-standard platforms are highly encouraged to apply, including: *GIS & Fiber Management:* IQGeo, 3GIS, OSPInsight, or Esri ArcGIS *Project & Infrastructure Management:* Sitetracker, Vitruvi, or Procore *Workflow & Ticketing Systems:* ServiceNow or Salesforce Telecom *OTDR Diagnostics:* EXFO FastReporter or VIAVI Fiberizer - Stay informed on emerging tools and technologies relevant to OSP engineering.\n\nDocumentation and Reporting\nCreate and maintain detailed records, including MOPs (Methods of Procedure), SOWs (Statements of Work), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and job aids.\n\nProvide regular updates and documentation for project progress and outcomes.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum 4 years field experience or Bachelor’s Degree in either\n\nTelecommunications Engineering, IT or related field\n\nAssociate Degree or Certification (Minimum Requirement):\n\nFiber Optics Technology\n\nNetworking and Communications\n\nElectronics Engineering Technology Specialized Training and Certifications (Highly Desirable):\n\nCertified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or equivalent certifications from the Fiber Optic Association (FOA).\n\nOTDR Testing Certification\n\nGIS Certification (for advanced GIS-based management systems).\n\nProject Management Certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM) for handling multiple projects.\n\nSafety Certifications, such as OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training relevant to construction and OSP environments.\n\nAdditional Knowledge Areas (Optional but Beneficial)\n\nKnowledge of telecommunications industry standards (e.g., ITU-T, ANSI, and IEEE)\n\nPreferred Skills:\nFiber Optic: Expertise in fiber optic cables and troubleshooting high losses and failures OSP Fiber Administration: Expertise in fiber administration practices\n\nOTDR Testing: Knowledge of OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) testing and its application in fiber optic cable tesing and associated analysis\n\nGIS: Experience with GIS-based fiber management systems and the ability to read construction as-built drawings and maintain records\n\nVendor Management: Excellent communication skills with internal xfn’s and external vendors, including managing vendor relationships and task and coordination\n\nProject Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and OKR and dashboard management\n\nAttention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reviewing and editing splice matrices, verifying new scope, and maintaining data integrity in software tooling systems\n\nLeadership: Ability to lead and organize meetings, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and provide guidance to other team members\n\nFamiliarity with various fiber software tools\n\nSafety and Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to OSP work\n\nDocumentation: Ability to drive process improvements and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to OSP work, including MOPs, SOWs,\n\nSOPs, and Job-Aids\n\nProficiency in multiple ticketing systems\n\nThis is a remote position\nSalary Range\n$72,960.00 - $96,000.00 USD (Salary)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross);
