Prepare and sign off on splice matrices, cut sheets, and cut plans that account for in-service traffic, maintenance windows, and rollback paths.\nExecution & Field Support: Serve as the operations point of contact for field splicing and installation crews during turn-ups, cross-connect delivery, and migration cutovers. Make real-time engineering calls when field conditions deviate from plan.\n Testing & Troubleshooting: Validate field test results (OTDR, OLTS, VFL, inspection) and lead troubleshooting during turn-up using bidirectional OTDR analysis, loss budget validation, and fault localization.\nCase Audits & Records Integrity: Review case audit sheets, reconcile findings against splice matrices, path records, and GIS, and drive remediation. Keep as-builts, splice documentation, and system-of-record entries accurate.\nCross-Functional Coordination: Partner with design engineering, construction, splicing vendors, network engineering, and operations to deliver clean turn-ups across all programs and report out to project stakeholders on project status and completion.\nTechnical Leadership: Mentor junior operations engineers, author MOPs, SOPs, and job aids, and drive standards and process improvement across the team.\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years in OSP fiber operations or OSP engineering within data center or telecom infrastructure environments\n OSP engineering background is required and must be able to read, interpret, and validate OSP designs, splice matrices, and construction drawings at a senior level\nPrior hands-on splicing experience (fusion, mechanical) and strong working knowledge of fiber cable types, splice closures, patch panel architectures, and cross-connect fields\nDemonstrated ownership of splice matrices, cut sheets, and cut plans in live, in-service environments\nAdvanced OTDR analysis bidirectional traces, event classification, loss budgets, and fault localization\nFluency with GIS and fiber management platforms \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a DC OSP operations environment within a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large-scale data center operator\nExperience with carrier hand-off migrations (MMV to MMH or similar) and in-service infrastructure cutovers\nBachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience\nWorking knowledge of ROADM / DWDM transport and the interaction between OSP decisions and the optical layer\nSalary Range\n$89,600.00 - $112,000.00 USD (Salary)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.\nFurther, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
