Following the merger with NAMI, ASTRI’s cumulative global patent portfolio has grown to over 1,500, with more than 2,200 technologies successfully transferred to industry.\nWith enhanced scale and capabilities, ASTRI is uniquely positioned to elevate Hong Kong’s innovation capacity, accelerate technology commercialisation, and drive societal and economic progress through world-class applied research.\nTo support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):\nJob Responsibilities:\nConduct research and development on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), localization, and path planning for robotics applications in industrial automation and smart infrastructure.\nDevelop algorithms for object detection, pose estimation and motion planning to enable autonomous robotic systems in industrial environments.\nEnsure scalability, robustness, and performance of algorithmic solutions within integrated systems.\nFollow the system engineering processes to design and deliver high-quality modules, systems, and platforms.\nDocumentation of the design and testing throughout SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and ISO processes.\nJob Requirements:\nPh.D. holder or Master degree in Computer Science/Robotics/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of related experiences. Candidate with less experiences may also be considered.\nStrong proficiency in C/C++/Python and algorithm optimization.\nFamiliar with Robot Operating System (ROS), Gazebo, MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.\nFamiliar with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) is a plus.\nA team player with good analytical and communication skills in written and spoken English.\nLives ASTRI value.\nThe appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay.
