RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nSoftware Development & Solution Design\n\nParticipate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).\nDesign and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.\nDefine solution designs and system architectures for customer-facing and backend applications.\nDevelop systems with scalability, flexibility, and maintainability in mind.\nCollaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate and deliver software solutions.\nImprove software quality through Agile engineering practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.\nPrepare and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specifications, API documentation, operational guides, and other engineering documents.\nTroubleshoot defects, enhance existing software, and provide ongoing application support.\nManage operational applications and databases to ensure system stability and performance.\nWrite and maintain effective APIs and technical documentation.\nProvide support during SIT and UAT, investigating and resolving technical issues.\nConduct system performance management, application vulnerability management, and software release management.\nPlan and execute production system implementations.\n\nCloud Engineering and System Integration\n\nDesign, develop, and deploy enterprise cloud-based solutions using AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, Cognito, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, VPC, Route 53, and CloudWatch.\nImplement serverless applications using Node.js and AWS Lambda, following best practices for scalability, performance, resilience, and cost optimisation.\nDesign and implement event-driven systems, asynchronous processing, messaging solutions, and integrations with internal and external platforms.\nDevelop secure integrations with third-party services, payment gateways, notification platforms, analytics systems, and enterprise applications.\nApply cloud architecture principles to improve system availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, observability, and operational efficiency.\nEvaluate and optimise application and infrastructure costs without compromising performance or reliability.\n\nTechnical Leadership and Engineering Excellence\n\nProvide technical leadership in troubleshooting complex production incidents, resolving performance bottlenecks, and conducting root cause analysis.\nLead technical discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering design decisions.\nGuide developers on coding standards, application architecture, testing strategies, security practices, and engineering best practices.\nMentor team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and support the continuous development of technical capabilities across the team.\nCollaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Project Managers, Infrastructure, Security, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful solution delivery.\nConduct technology benchmarking and industry analysis to recommend suitable technologies and align with the organisation's technical strategy.\nTranslate business requirements into practical, scalable, and cost-effective technical solutions.\nConceptualise, articulate, and advocate the value of technology in solving real business problems.\nProvide technical guidance and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders on critical issues to ensure optimal business outcomes.\nDrive continuous improvement in development processes, engineering standards, automation, and delivery practices.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nWho You Are:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 6 years of software development experience within Agile teams.\nStrong expertise in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js.\nAt least 6 years of hands-on experience in API and microservices development.\nStrong hands-on experience in frontend development usingReact.js and Next.js.\nProficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development practices.\nExperience with UI frameworks and styling libraries such asBootstrap, Tailwind CSS, and Material UI.\nStrong experience in designing and developing responsive, reusable, and scalable web applications.\nStrong experience designing and developing enterprise cloud-based solutions on AWS.\nHands-on experience with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, Cognito, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, VPC, EBS, Route 53, and CloudWatch.\nProven experience designing and developing web, API, and cloud-based solutions.\nExperience developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Node.js.\nStrong understanding of event-driven architectures using services such as SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.\nProficient in relational databases, particularlyMySQL, including database schema design, SQL queries, indexing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.\nExperience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or equivalent.\nUnderstanding and experience in developing solutions using application-layer protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and WebSockets.\nAbility to write automated unit and integration test cases using testing frameworks and mocking libraries.\nProficient in source code management tools such as Git.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns.\nFamiliarity with modern architecture patterns, including microservices, event-driven architectures, stream processing, and real-time analytics integration.\nStrong appreciation of non-functional requirements (NFRs), including scalability, extensibility, reliability, security, and performance.\nWorking knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.\nExperience implementing CI/CD processes in AWS environments is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with modern API design standards, including OpenAPI Specification, is an advantage.\nExperience with Docker and container-based deployments is an advantage.\nExcellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to plan and execute projects while delivering quality outcomes within agreed timelines.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Kiro, or equivalent solutions to improve productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, and
