This role leads the plant quality team across all shifts, owns inspection and lab release, and drives corrective action with Operations so problems are fixed at the source, not just caught at the end.\nKey responsibilities\nLead, schedule, train and coach Quality Engineers, Technicians and Lab Technicians across all shifts.\nEnsure product is inspected and released to print, alloy/temper and finish specifications; own hold, disposition and MRB decisions for nonconforming material.\nInvestigate customer complaints and returns; lead 8D/root-cause teams and deliver corrective actions on time.\nMaintain plant compliance with the Quality Management System and ISO 9001 requirements; lead internal audits and support customer and registrar audits.\nTrack and report plant quality KPIs (scrap, internal rejects, customer PPM, complaint closure time) and lead improvement projects against them.\nPartner with Extrusion, Die Shop, Finishing (paint/anodize), Thermal Barrier and Fabrication supervisors on process control and first-article approvals.\nOversee the plant lab and gauge calibration so mechanical, dimensional and coating test results are accurate and traceable.\nAct as the plant quality contact for customers and Sales on technical questions, specifications and visits.\nBuild quality awareness on the floor through training, visual standards and boundary samples.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or related field, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing plant, with 2+ years supervising people.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001, root-cause analysis, SPC and gauge/MSA practices.\nAbility to read prints and apply GD&T and dimensional tolerances.\nStrong communication with operators, supervisors and customers alike.\nPreferred\nAluminum extrusion experience, including press and die practices and alloy/temper basics.\nPaint, anodize or thermal barrier quality experience (AAMA 2603/2604/2605).\nASQ CQE, CQA or CMQ/OE; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.\nIATF 16949 or automotive core tools exposure.\nWork environment\nPrimarily on the production floor and in the quality lab; exposure to heat, noise and moving equipment.
