The selected candidate will be instrumental in building, assembling, and testing critical components that enable our spacecraft and payload systems. This role is ideal for someone passionate about precision fabrication, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality hardware that will venture into deep space.\nResponsibilities\nFabricate and assemble structural and mechanical components for spacecraft hardware.\nPerform precision machining, welding, and metal finishing using a variety of tools and equipment.\nInterpret technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to produce high-quality parts and assemblies.\nAssist with the integration of fabricated components into larger assemblies and test setups.\nCollaborate closely with engineers to refine designs for manufacturability and efficiency.\nInspect parts and assemblies for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with tight tolerances.\nMaintain shop equipment, tools, and a safe, organized work environment.\nSupport rapid prototyping, iteration, and testing efforts to accelerate development cycles.\nRequirements\nDemonstrated experience in fabrication, machining, or assembly of precision mechanical systems.\nSkilled in operating tools such as mills, lathes, welders, grinders, and sheet metal equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and assembly instructions.\nKnowledge of materials commonly used in aerospace (aluminum, titanium, composites, stainless steel).\nStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and craftsmanship.\nComfort working in a fast-paced, iterative startup environment.\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\nBenefits\n100% paid medical, dental, and life insurance coverage\nVision and FSA benefits available\n3 weeks of PTO + 1 week of sick time\n10 paid Holidays\nRetirement savings plan - 401(k), with company match\nEquity on the ground floor of a startup\nSalary\n$35-45 per hour\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
