We offer a unique opportunity to join an exciting team looking to expand humanity’s capabilities in space.\nJob Description:\nAstroForge is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Radio Frequency Engineer. The selected candidate will be an expert in antenna engineering, RF design, high-frequency systems, high-power amplifiers (PA), low-noise amplifiers (LNA), microwave engineering, and front-end development.\nResponsibilities:\nDesigning RF hardware for satellite-to-earth ground station communication, focusing on S-band and/or X-band radio frequencies.\nBoard design, operation of RF test equipment, and testing and analyzing RF performance.\nDesigning a S-band radio sub-system for Mission 3 and future missions.\nCollaborating with the team to ensure effective communication subsystem design.\nEvaluation of space links and trade studies, including detailed link budgets\nLead RF Compatibility Testing in factory and at field sites.\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.\nProven experience in RF hardware design, particularly in S-band and/or X-band radios.\nProficiency in operating RF test equipment and analyzing RF performance.\nQuantify and trade the performance and suitability of microwave receivers, transmitters, transponders, antennas, amplifiers, and transmission paths using sound microwave engineering principles.\nDetailed knowledge of modulation and coding standards used in space comms.\nProven experience with Software Defined Radio frameworks and development of SDR solutions.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.\nBenefits:\n100% paid medical, dental, and life insurance coverage\nVision and FSA benefits available\n3 weeks of PTO + 1 week of sick time\n10 paid Holidays\nRetirement savings plan - 401(k), with company match\nEquity on the ground floor of a startup\nSalary\nLevel II: $118,000 - $142,500\nLevel III: $138,000 - $171,500\nLevel IV: $168,000 - $185,500\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S.,protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
