Relocation support is not available for this position\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Supply Chain Intern will work independently with guidance from Supply Chain Management and team members to identify and develop project scope. The intern will generate and/or improve analysis models to support improved SCM decision making.\nInternship benefits allow students to:\nGain work experience while exploring desired career path.\nGrow marketable skills to build up resume and assist in transitioning into the workforce.\nNetwork and build professional connections within and outside of your chosen profession.\nUnder the supervision of experienced supply chain personnel, the Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for supply chain activities that include:\nSpend analysis, Contract Manufacturer (CM) turnkey Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) parts, top dollar spend part numbers. Perform Landed Cost price comparisons.\nERP system (Intuitive) data integrity projects\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) SCM Development support and project work, to include work transfers.\nCoordinate update to AES vendor Small Business Certifications\nWorking with Buyers, use lean manufacturing principles to support organization continuous improvement projects.\nSupport cables and outlets Buyers with administration efforts including sales commit updates, MRP and purchase order review and coordination.\nPrepare Engineering Change Notice documents for dissemination to Contract Manufacturers\nSupport continuous improvement activities for electronic documentation archiving or other focus as identified.\nSupport updates to standard work guidelines\nData input of new item standard costs and changes\nEnter invoices for payments of misc. items and make recommendations for process improvement.\nPair with buyers to do audit file preparation and audit readiness.\nSupport the preparation of supplier business reviews.\nSupport negotiation preparation and planning strategies.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nRequires 2-3 years of college-level courses of college level courses focusing on supply chain management.\nEMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS\nAs a US Department of Defense Contractor, this position may involve access to items subject to U.S. export-control laws. Employment is contingent upon the employee's authorization to access such items under applicable law.
