The role is expected to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic supply chain initiatives that support the company's growth objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupply Chain Leadership\nLead and develop the Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Control, and Material Handling functions.\nEstablish clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations across the supply chain organization.\nDevelop and execute supply chain strategies that support business growth, customer delivery, and operational excellence.\nDrive a culture of urgency, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nProcurement & Supplier Management\nOversee all procurement activities required to support production, repair, and aftermarket demand.\nEnsure timely placement and execution of purchase orders based on MRP and production requirements.\nManage supplier performance related to delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost.\nLead supplier reviews, corrective actions, and strategic sourcing initiatives.\nIdentify and qualify alternate suppliers to mitigate supply chain risk.\nSupport contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and cost reduction initiatives.\nMonitor supplier capacity, lead times, and geopolitical risks that may impact operational performance.\nPlanning & Production Support\nLead demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and materials planning processes.\nEnsure production schedules are adequately supported through effective MRP management.\nDrive alignment between customer demand, sales forecasts, inventory strategy, and manufacturing capacity.\nMonitor material shortages and establish recovery plans to minimize operational disruptions.\nCoordinate cross-functional planning reviews to support revenue, OTD, and backlog objectives.\nDevelop inventory strategies for long-lead-time and constrained components.\nInventory Management & Control\nOwn inventory accuracy, inventory health, and inventory investment strategies.\nOversee cycle count programs, physical inventory activities, and inventory reconciliation efforts.\nEstablish inventory targets and policies that balance service levels, risk mitigation, and working capital objectives.\nMonitor excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and develop action plans for inventory optimization.\nEnsure inventory transactions are executed accurately and promptly within ERP systems.\nDrive improvements in warehouse processes, material flow, and inventory visibility.\nMetrics & Operational Performance\nDevelop and maintain key supply chain performance metrics, including:Inventory Accuracy\nInventory Turns\nSupplier On-Time Delivery\nMaterial Availability\nShortage Performance\nPurchase Price Variance (PPV)\nForecast Accuracy\nWorking Capital\nOn-Time Delivery (OTD)\n\nProvide regular reporting and executive-level updates on supply chain performance and risks.\nLead escalation and recovery activities for critical material shortages and supplier issues.\nContinuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives\nDrive process improvements across procurement, planning, inventory control, and material management.\nLeverage ERP, planning tools, and analytics to improve decision making and operational performance.\nSupport digital transformation initiatives, AI-enabled planning tools, automation projects, and supply chain modernization efforts.\nPartner with Operations and Quality on lean manufacturing, inventory reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives.\nKey Expectations\nThe successful candidate will be expected to:\nMaintain inventory accuracy above 98%.\nEnsure uninterrupted material flow to support production and customer commitments.\nDevelop inventory strategies supporting 6-9 months of component inventory and up to 12 months for critical long lead-time items where required.\nImprove supplier delivery and responsiveness through disciplined supplier management.\nReduce material shortages and expedite costs.\nEstablish a world-class planning process that improves schedule adherence and forecasting accuracy.\nDevelop and mentor the supply chain team while building bench strength for future growth.\nDrive measurable improvements in OTD, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.\n5+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.\n3+ years of leadership experience managing multiple supply chain functions.\nStrong knowledge of procurement, MRP, inventory management, forecasting, and production planning.\nExperience working within ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred).\nStrong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.\nPreferred\nAerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing experience.\nAPICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP).\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training.\nExperience managing strategic inventory and long-lead component planning.\nKnowledge of FAA, AS9100, and supply chain compliance
