Asure’s HCM offering includes Payroll & Tax, HR, and Time & Attendance software and HR Services ranging from online compliance tools to a fully outsourced HR department.\nThis position will be a hybrid role out of our Austin, TX location. \nHow you will contribute\nThe Financial Data Analyst will partner closely with the FP&A team and business leaders to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance management while serving as a key link between financial analysis, business insights, and enterprise data systems. This role requires technical expertise in database design and monitoring, proficiency with database tools and dashboards and business analysis capabilities to ensure accurate, scalable, and actionable financial insights.\nYou will help design, maintain, and enhance financial reporting systems and data models to ensure data integrity and usability across the organization, in support of the Company’s forecasting processes, performance assessment and operational decision-making. Experience working with ERP systems, such as NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities\nPartner with business leaders to understand operational drivers, evolving business needs, and data requirements. \nEnsure financial reporting systems and underlying source data are accurate, reconciled, and well-documented.\nPrepare and deliver management reporting on revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators, including clear variance analysis and business commentary.\nSupport and maintain key metrics used for Board reporting, investor materials, earnings calls, audits, and other executive presentations.\nProvide ad hoc financial, operational, and data analysis to support strategic initiatives and special projects.\nContribute to continuous improvement of financial planning, reporting, and business intelligence processes. \nCollaborate with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data structures, reporting processes, and automation. \nAnalyze actual results versus budget and forecast, identify root causes of variances, and review findings with management. \nSupport the annual budget process and monthly forecast updates, incorporating business and operational changes into financial models. \nDevelop, maintain, and enhance financial and operational dashboards, reports, and data models using SQL, Tableau, and Excel. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. \nStrong database and business intelligence experience, including advanced SQL and Tableau (or similar BI tools).\nExperience working with ERP and CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nProactive, curious, and analytical, with the ability to question assumptions, validate data outputs, and identify opportunities for improvement.\nTeam-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working across finance, business, and technical stakeholders. \nStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, business-partnering mindset. \nDemonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights. \nAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and data validation; strong PowerPoint skills for executive-level presentations. \n3+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a hybrid finance/data role. \nCompensation\nThe base salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000, based on relevant experience, skills, and industry knowledge.
