This role combines technical expertise, creative design, and client-facing collaboration to produce high-quality systems for corporate, educational, entertainment, and event environments.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nMeet with clients to assess AV needs, conduct site surveys, and perform needs analysis.\n\nDesign and develop AV systems, specifying equipment such as projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, video conferencing devices, and control system interfaces.\n\nCreate detailed CAD drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.\n\nCollaborate with sales teams during quoting and bidding processes, advising on design and cost estimates.\n\nPartner with installation teams to ensure systems are implemented per specifications.\n\nProvide post-installation support, including troubleshooting, calibration, maintenance, and end-user training.\n\nStay current with emerging AV technologies, industry standards, and trends to enhance system designs.\n\nWork with architects, acousticians, and engineers to integrate AV solutions into broader building systems.\n\nWorking Conditions\nOffice and on-site environments, with occasional travel.\n\nMay require lifting and installation of AV equipment up to 50 pounds.\n\nStandard working hours with occasional evenings/weekends for installations or events.\n\nRequirements\nEducation & Experience\nCTS-D and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, or related field preferred.\n\n3+ years of experience in AV system design, engineering, or integration (corporate, education, live events, or similar).\n\nExperience with CAD tools for AV system layout and documentation.\n\nProficiency with control systems (e.g. Q-Sys, Crestron, Extron, AMX) and AV-over-IP networking protocols.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical support abilities.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.\n\nWillingness to travel to client sites as
