This is an opportunity to influence some of the region's most important energy infrastructure investments while helping develop the next generation of construction leaders.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a key member of ATC's Construction and Commissioning leadership team, you will:\nLead Construction Execution\nOversee construction management staff supporting overhead transmission line, underground transmission line, and substation projects.\nEnsure contractors meet technical specifications, contract requirements, safety expectations, and quality standards.\nCoordinate field execution activities across multiple projects and stakeholders.\nDrive successful project delivery while balancing safety, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.\nDevelop People & Teams\nCoach, mentor, and develop a team of construction professionals.\nProvide performance feedback, growth opportunities, and leadership support.\nCreate clear expectations and accountability across internal and external resources.\nBuild an engaged, high-performing, and safety-focused team culture.\nStrengthen Contractor Performance\nLead oversight of contractors, consultants, outside firms, and alliance partners.\nEstablish clear expectations and performance measures.\nPromote safe work practices and operational excellence.\nEnsure contractual obligations and project deliverables are achieved.\nPartner Across the Enterprise\nCollaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Safety, Environmental, Commissioning, and Local Distribution Company leadership.\nHelp develop practical construction solutions that consider environmental, operational, customer, and landowner impacts.\nPromote best practices and continuous improvement across project portfolios.\nChampion Safety\nServe as a visible safety leader.\nReinforce a culture where every employee and contractor goes home safely.\nIdentify and address risks proactively.\nLead confidently during emergency and incident response situations.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Combinations of education and equivalent experience will be considered.\n\n5 + years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, construction oversight, utility infrastructure delivery, project management, or transmission or substation engineering.\n\n 3+ years of people leadership experience.\n\n Experience leading internal teams and external resources.\n\n Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.\n\n Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\n Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions while balancing safety, schedule, budget, and quality.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Electric transmission construction management experience.\n\n Substation or line construction experience.\n\n Contractor and alliance partner management experience.\n\n Utility industry experience.\n\n Professional Engineer registration.\n\n Experience supporting emergency response or restoration activities.\nWhy ATC\nPurpose-Driven Work: We’re energized by meaningful and challenging work that contributes to the greater good, from powering everyday life to grid modernization. \nPeople-Centric Culture: We are difference makers.
