Other duties may be assigned.\nPromotes and maintains a safe work environment at all times.\nResponsible for housekeeping and 5s activity in the area.\nResponsible for product quality through auditing and verification of operator conformance to standards, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.\nAudits products and scrap to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines or methods.\nFacilitates continuous improvement with a focus on employee involvement.\nSupports Supervisor in developing personnel through training, performance reviews, and other administrative duties.\nResponsible for employee training, cross-training, and maintenance of training records.\nAdjusts manpower assignments to meet production schedules.\nAssures necessary materials and supplies are available and used appropriately for production.\nAssists in the implementation of new procedures or processes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.\nMaintains production records.\nPerforms the duties of production workers supervised when needed.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssists in the supervision of 25 to 50 employees on the production line.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 2 years of operations and/or lean experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and the related business processes. Intermediate to advanced PC skills\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees or others outside the department. Must be able to read and understand English.\nCOMPUTER SKILLS\nAbility to operate proficiently a PC computer, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to draft emails, work in spreadsheets, and create graphs. Ability to navigate network directories and learn to perform duties in enterprise ERP software system.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interpret company and departmental financial data.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to read and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
