Track performance of assigned purchases, inventories, cost, suppliers, and other variables. Ensure customer satisfaction through correct inventory held to produce goods as needed.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nManages vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, MOQ’s, and delivery.\nReview attrition rates and current trends to head off problems. Work with Engineering/Production for accurate data and understanding. \nReview and approve purchasing documents for adequacy of specified requirements prior to release.\nDiscusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.\nReviews invoice discrepancies for payment.\nRecommends projects to reduce inventories and to improve supply chain processes.\nTrack ALL cost changes, submits for review and approval with Accounting, Business Development, and Customers as applicable.\nTrack SREA and Alerts for successful implementation and ensuring appropriate inventory levels\nDevelop PFEP and item master entries\nResponsible for successful, on-time program launches as assigned and submitting/analyzing request for quotes as required.\nOversight of supplier forecasts and ensure understanding and commitment from suppliers to secure products needed to support ATC production\nWork with suppliers to increase performance through reports and phone conferences\nDevelop listing of “At Risk” parts and suppliers\nResponsible for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of the quality management systems.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nBachelor's degree in business or purchasing related experience\nExperience in remanufacturing (highly preferred)\nExperience with Automotive purchasing/sourcing (preferred)\nAPICS/NAPM certification preferred\nComputer proficiency\nMicrosoft Proficiency (highly preferred)\nEffective communication with all position levels\nProject management experience\nDemonstrated leadership capabilities\nTeam facilitation skills\nDemonstrated success in interfacing with other disciplines\nKnowledge of parts management\nKnowledge of production planning\nExposure to IATF, corrective actions, PPAP processes, or automotive OEM supply chains is preferred but not required\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read and understand English.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
