Other duties may be assigned.\nFollows up with supplier on past due purchase orders.\nExpedites parts that are critical for the operation. \nContact suppliers to get tracking information on critical parts. \nMaintain constant contact with vendors to verify parts will arrive to our dock on time. \nTracks shipments to our dock.\nNotify supervisor in a timely manner if a critical delivery is delayed.\nInforms pricing discrepancy to the buyer.\nEnsures acknowledgments are received.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read and understand English.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
