Ladder programming and CAN programs such as LabVIEW\nFamiliar with schematic capturer programs, and electrical wiring programs.\nAssist in the design, testing, and debugging of firmware.\nPrepare or direct preparation of product and system layout, schematics, and detail drawings.\nAssist with schematic creation, wire run lists, and familiarity with various electronic and electrical components including mounting methods, heat sinking and location on printed circuit boards.\nCompile and analyze operational, test and research data to establish Acceptance Test Standards for newly designed or modified equipment.\nAssist in the creation and execution of technical manuals, ATP’s, QTP’s, and ICD’s with Quality Assurance and Technical Publications groups.\nCoordinate and perform as necessary the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.\nCoordinate with Manufacturing when building prototypes.\nAble to communicate clearly both verbally and non-verbally (e.g., email, memos, sketches, drawings) and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group. Can work effectively with peers.\nMay participate in internal design reviews to convey design intent and execution.\nMay be included in customer-facing activity, including but not limited to design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and/or training.\nMay mentor other Electrical Engineering staff, and/or act in interdisciplinary activities.\nPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.\nEnsure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nN/A\nAS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES\nBe familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.\nUnderstand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.\nComplete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.\nParticipate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.\nParticipate in AS9100/ISO training as required.\nCooperate with Auditors.\nReport any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university; or three (3) to eight (8) years of proven experience in design and development of electrical/electronic components and systems with a registered engineering firm; or a combination of education and experience.\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology\npreferred.\nFamiliarity with circuit simulator software, NI software, HMI software, and Microsoft Office products.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nIEEE Membership is preferred.\nSuccessful completion and passing of the EIT exam preferred.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nEmployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nEmployee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit and use hands with electrical equipment.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nEmployee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.\nEmployee is occasionally exposed to low- and high-voltages during design, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.\nNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nExtended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.\nEqual Opportunity Employer.
