Actively participate in product testing.\nAssist in fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to required industry and government standards, as well as customer specifications.\nCoordinate maintenance and repair activities.\nEvaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions, as well as improve system performance.\nWork with Technical Publications Group to revise and create Technical Orders, Manuals, and other documentation.\nAssist in developing quotes and technical proposals.\nStay current on engineering software capabilities and techniques, as well as physical testing methods.\nWork to stay within project budgets and schedules.\nEvaluate engineering, manufacturing, and business processes, making suggestions as appropriate to make improvements.\nAttend project meeting, both on-site and off-site, as required in support of construction and fabrication projects.\nPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.\nEnsure activities are conducted in accordance with Vital Link International Standards Organization (ISO9000) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nN/A\nISO9000 SPECIFIC DUTIES\nBe familiar with and understand Vital Link Quality Policy and company objectives.\nUnderstand required ISO9000 specific Procedures and Work Instructions.\nComplete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.\nParticipate in Vital Link Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.\nParticipate in ISO9000 training as required.\nCooperate with Auditors.\nReport any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or one (1) to four (4) years related experience and / or training; or combination of education and experience.\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.\nExperience using 3-D Solid Modeling software (SolidWorks), Structural FEA (SolidWorks Simulation), CFD (ANSYS CFX, FLUENT, and SolidWorks Flow Simulation), MATLAB, and Microsoft Office products.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nN/A\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nEmployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit., use hands to handle equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nwww.Atec.com Equal Opportunity Employer.
