As one of its members, you will help perform the fabrication, assembly, and test of spaceflight hardware. This position requires someone with a dynamic mindset who can navigate between fine details and the big picture with a breadth of assembly, engineering drawing, work instruction, and test knowledge. It also requires working with a number of internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, production, quality, operations, and suppliers.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES\nRead work orders, follow production drawing, and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.\nPerform precision, spaceflight critical, assembly on spaceflight components.\nPerform precision, spaceflight critical test operations on spaceflight components.\nCrimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.\nPerform assembly tasks, such as sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, and etching parts and assemblies.\nPerform electrical assembly tasks, such as crimping, soldering, connector assembly and basic electrical testing.\nFabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components, assemblies, or tooling for products.\nPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.\nEnsure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nN/A\nAS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES\nBe familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.\nUnderstand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.\nComplete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.\nParticipate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.\nParticipate in AS9100/ISO training as required.\nCooperate with Auditors.\nReport any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)\nBachelor’s Degree preferred\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\nEmployee may be required to obtain related work certifications, including NASA 8739.4 Wire Harnesses or IPC J-STD-001 Soldering.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nEmployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nExtended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.\nwww.Atec.com Equal Opportunity Employer.
