ATEC Spine is a solution-minded, problem-solving organization committed to providing outstanding patient outcomes.

The Manager, Insight Outcomes and Real-World Evidence will help build and execute the clinical outcomes, registry, and evidence-generation strategy for ATEC's Insight platform. This role is responsible for translating Insight's clinical and business objectives into practical study plans, patient-reported outcomes workflows, investigator engagement, evidence outputs, and cross-functional execution that support clinical adoption, reimbursement strategy, payer-facing evidence, regulatory needs, and commercial differentiation.

This position is intended for a hands-on clinical evidence leader who can operate across Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, Commercial Teams, and external clinical sites. The role will focus on building an outcomes infrastructure that supports Insight as a clinical intelligence and value-generation platform, not simply a software tool.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Insight evidence strategy, aligning real-world evidence, outcomes research, and value evidence with product innovation, clinical adoption, reimbursement, publication, and commercial objectives.
  • Identify evidence gaps and define research priorities that demonstrate the clinical, operational, and economic value of Insight-enabled spine care.
  • Partner with Marketing, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams to ensure evidence generation supports strategic business priorities and future product claims.
  • Oversee the development and adoption of the real-world evidence platform by integrating clinical registries with patient-reported outcomes, imaging, EHRs, activity monitoring, healthcare claims, coding databases, and other relevant data sources.
  • Establish scalable processes for data collection, quality, governance, and longitudinal outcomes tracking to support clinical research, benchmarking, and advanced analytics.
  • Develop evidence assets that enable providers, hospitals, and payers to evaluate clinical performance, operational efficiency, patient recovery, and economic value.
  • Design and oversee observational studies, registry analyses, and outcomes research that generate evidence supporting clinical utility, healthcare economics, reimbursement, and value-based care.
  • Independently drive collaboration with internal and external research partners to translate real-world data into actionable insights, predictive analytics, publications, and scientific presentations.
  • Support the development of value dossiers, reimbursement evidence, and health economic analyses for providers, health systems, and payers.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with investigators, clinical sites, academic partners, and professional societies to expand Insight evidence generation and scientific engagement.
  • Support investigator-initiated research and multicenter collaborations that strengthen the clinical and economic evidence supporting Insight technologies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role may not initially have direct reports. The position requires strong cross-functional influence and day-to-day coordination of internal contributors, clinical sites, investigators, vendors, and external partners. Direct people management responsibilities may be added as the Insight evidence program scales.

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, clinical research, biotechnology, epidemiology, public health, health economics, healthcare administration, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in real-world evidence, clinical registries, health economics and outcomes research, healthcare analytics in digital health, medical imaging, spine/orthopedic or related fields.
  • Experience developing and managing clinical registries and integrating diverse healthcare data sources, including EHRs, imaging, patient-reported outcomes, claims, administrative coding, and digital health or wearable data. Knowledge of interoperability standards is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with observational study design, real-world evidence methodologies, comparative effectiveness research, and healthcare economics.
  • Familiarity with patient-reported outcomes instruments commonly used in spine and orthopedics, including pain, function, quality of life, or recovery assessment preferred.
  • Awareness of reimbursement, payer evidence, health economics, value-based care, alternative payment models, coding strategy, claims data, and hospital performance metrics preferred.
  • Understanding of how clinical evidence supports product claims, regulatory submissions, market access, physician adoption, and scientific credibility.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of the conduct of clinical investigations involving humans in accordance ICH/GCP, US Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and the ethical principles that guide clinical research consistent with the principles of the Nuremberg Code, the Belmont Report and the Declaration of Helsinki.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex evidence needs into actionable research plans and meaningful clinical, operational, economic, and reimbursement insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and communicating complex information to technical and executive audiences.
  • Results-oriented project leadership, demonstrating sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to scientific integrity and quality, maintaining high standards for clinical evidence, data credibility, patient privacy, and ethical research practices while balancing scientific rigor with business objectives.
  • Collaborative, curious, and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to turn ambiguity into organized execution.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, clinical research, biotechnology, public health, healthcare administration, health economics, epidemiology, or related field.
  • Preferred - Master’s degree in biotechnology, clinical research, public health, health economics, epidemiology, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • 6 to 9 years progressive experience in clinical research, clinical operations, evidence generation, outcomes research, registry execution, or related healthcare/medical technology environment.
  • Preferred - ACRP, SOCRA, CCRC, CCRP, GCP, human subjects protection, or equivalent clinical research certification.
