A-TEK actively cultivates the talent that drives our success and fosters a creative, challenging, and mission-driven work environment for current and future employees.\nPosition Summary\nThe Independent Quality Assurance and Automated Testing Specialist provides independent testing oversight for NIH applications. The specialist validates results produced by development and O&M teams and participates collaboratively in the testing process.\nThe specialist executes established automated tests, reviews requirements and test artifacts, conducts independent validation, and advises NIH leadership. The position does not duplicate the O&M contractor’s testing staff or create an adversarial IV&V structure.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nParticipate in test planning, requirements reviews, and release-readiness activities.\nReview requirements and acceptance criteria for clarity, completeness, and testability.\nConfirm that test cases trace to approved requirements and business processes.\nExecute established UiPath automated test scripts and procedures.\nConduct independent functional, integration, regression, system, and release testing.\nReview automated and manual test results produced by development and O&M teams.\nValidate defect corrections and confirm that releases meet approved acceptance criteria.\nIdentify testing gaps, untested dependencies, and incomplete coverage.\nDocument test results, defects, risks, and recommended corrective actions.\nConfirm that teams maintain current test scripts, test data, and execution procedures.\nReview changes to automated test scripts when applications or business processes change.\nSupport peer reviews of requirements, designs, user stories, and test plans.\nEvaluate release packages and provide independent readiness findings.\nMonitor defect status, aging, severity, recurrence, and closure.\nSupport testing continuity when other testing resources are unavailable.\nRecommend improvements to test automation, coverage, tools, and procedures.\nPresent independent findings to NIH leadership.\nWork collaboratively with Government personnel and contractors while maintaining objective results.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field.\nAt least seven years of software quality assurance or application testing experience.\nAt least three years of experience with automated testing.\nExperience executing and maintaining automated functional or regression tests.\nExperience with UiPath Test Suite, UiPath automation, or a comparable automated testing platform.\nExperience testing enterprise business applications.\nKnowledge of functional, integration, regression, system, and release testing.\nExperience reviewing requirements, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability.\nExperience documenting defects and communicating test results.\nAbility to understand complex business processes and translate them into test conditions.\nAbility to work independently while participating in an integrated testing team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nUiPath certification or formal UiPath Test Suite training.\nExperience with Oracle Application Express applications.\nExperience with Oracle-based financial, acquisition, or administrative systems.\nExperience integrating automated tests with CI/CD processes.\nExperience performing independent verification and validation or independent QA.\nKnowledge of Section 508 testing.\nExperience supporting federal or other regulated environments.\nNIH or HHS experience.\nCompensation\nSalary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 annually (commensurate with experience)\nBenefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off; professional development opportunities.\nCandidates may use tools (including AI) for proofreading or formatting; however, using any tool to fabricate, exaggerate, or misrepresent qualifications, experience, or work product is not permitted.
