To learn more, visitatera.com.\nAbout the role\nAtera is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Controller to join our dynamic finance team.\nThis is a hands-on, high-impact role with significant responsibility over day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of key processes, contribute to exciting ongoing projects, and help ensure compliance with accounting standards-all while helping us scale efficiently.\nThis position works closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate reporting and effective collaboration across departments.\nResponsibilities:\nLead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP\nCoordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits\nOversee daily accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations\nSupport implementation of accounting systems, automation tools, and internal controls\nEnsure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and support ongoing compliance\nTake ownership of accounting processes and continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy\nLeverage AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, enhance reporting, and improve decision-making\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across reporting and compliance\nAssist with special projects, financial analysis, and other ad hoc initiatives\nRequirements\nRequirements:\nLicensed CPA with 2-3 years of experience in an Assistant Controller or similar role (post-internship) - Required\nInternship at a Big 4 accounting firm - Required\nExperience with NetSuite or other ERP systems - Preferred\nExperience with B2B SaaS companies - Preferred\nExcellent English verbal and written communication skills\nStrong Excel skills and analytical mindset\nHigh attention to detail, organized, and accountable\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines\nTeam player with confidence to work independently and cross-functionally\nProactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through\nSome of our benefits\nAtera is highly collaborative and yes, fun!
