To learn more, visitatera.com.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a Platform Tech Lead to jo in our Platform Engineering team.\nIn this role, you'll help shape the platform that powers all of Atera's R&D teams. You'll lead technical decisions, design scalable cloud infrastructure, build high-performance services, and drive engineering excellence across the organization. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while influencing architecture, scalability, and developer experience.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core.\nLead the design and evolution of our cloud-native platform and microservices architecture.\nBuild infrastructure and developer platforms that enable engineering teams to move faster.\nWork with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).\nDrive architectural decisions with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance.\nCollaborate closely with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform capabilities.\nMentor engineers and serve as a technical leader across multiple teams.\nRequirements\nRequirements:\n4+ years of experience building cloud-native systems using Azure, AWS, or GCP.\nStrong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.\nExpert-level proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#/.NET Core or Java\nProven experience designing and building highly scalable RESTful microservices.\nExperience in Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.\nStrong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MSSQL and MongoDB.\nDaily hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar as a core part of the development workflow.\nExperience working in a spec-driven development process, using AI agents to accelerate implementation while validating code quality, architecture, security, and performance.\nPassion for adopting new AI tools and engineering workflows, with a strong focus on testing, observability, and code quality.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.\nNice to Have\nExperience configuring AI development tools (custom instructions, MCP servers, or reusable prompt libraries).\nExperience optimizing large-scale distributed systems.\nStrong understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and .NET Garbage Collection.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving
