To learn more, visitatera.com.\nAbout the Role\nAtera is looking for a Web QA & Automation Engineer for our WordPress-based marketing website. You'll own site quality end-to-end: test plans, manual testing, and automated tests that keep the site fast, stable, and bug-free.\nThis is a QA-first role, needing strong manual QA skills and an eye for the risks unique to a CMS-driven site (theme/plugin updates, page builders, third-party scripts, SEO). Automation is a core part of the role - you'll use AI-assisted tools and modern frameworks to steadily expand test coverage and reduce manual overhead.\nResponsibilities\nAct as a quality champion for the marketing website, fostering a strong testing culture and driving best practices across manual and automated QA.\nCollaborate with Marketing stakeholders to validate specifications, align on quality expectations, and ensure smooth release cycles.\nOwn site quality throughout the development lifecycle - from requirements and design validation to implementation, release, and post-launch monitoring.\nServe as the go-to expert on web quality, acting as the key link between Marketing, Web Development, and external stakeholders.\nWrite test plans and translate them into automated tests where relevant.\nBuild regression, functional, and end-to-end tests to protect site quality.\nManually test new features, landing pages, and content updates for release readiness.\nTest across browsers and devices for a consistent user experience.\nDebug flaky tests and keep automated suites healthy.\nTrack bugs through to resolution.\nCheck page performance and SEO-critical elements pre-release.\nPartner with Marketing and Web Development to define coverage for upcoming changes.\nRequirements\nRequirements\n5+ years of QA experience testing complex web applications, with at least 3 years of hands-on automation.\nSolid experience writing and executing detailed test plans and test cases.\nHighly organized, with a strong commitment to quality and on-time delivery.\nExperience testing WordPress sites (themes, plugins, page builders).\nHands-on with tools like Playwright, BrowserStack, or testim.io.\nSolid HTML/CSS/JS understanding for testing and debugging.\nStrong hands-on proficiency with browser DevTools (Elements, Console, Network, Performance, Application) for debugging UI, tracking errors, and inspecting requests.\nExperience building automation with AI-assisted tools.\nExperience with Git and Agile workflows.\nStrong attention to detail and clear bug documentation.\nSEO/web performance familiarity and experience with marketing site testing are a plus.\nAdvantage:\nFamiliarity with SEO and web performance concepts.\nExperience testing marketing sites or A/B testing tools.\nKnowledge of GitHub - working with repos, branches, pull requests, and GitHub Actions (CI/CD workflows).\nMore about our benefits\nAtera is highly collaborative and yes, fun!
