testing, manuals, plans, etc..\n\nProduces detailed technical submittal documents to satisfy quality tracking requirements.\n\nAssists and writes design change notices, deviation requests and non-conformance reports.\n\nProject Engineering\nWorks with project teams and customers to ensure the products conform to customer requirements and meet customer needs.\n\nPlans design activities related to a job, including setting schedule milestones, review points, and deadlines.\n\nSpecifies and quotes complex or non-stock items in support of procurement activities.\n\nDevelops Production Travelers using software tools in conjunction with shop drawings and weld maps for fabrication.\n\nSupports production staff throughout the fabrication of schedule of a project.\n\nPerforms or oversees factory and site acceptance testing, including traveling to customer facilities.\n\nOther\nAssists in engineering overhead activities - bid support and estimating, CAD administration, engineering standards development, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMay be required to lead a team of engineers in design, planning, and execution of a project.\n\nMay be required to conduct team, group, or individual training on standards or best practices.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution (3-7+yrs experience).\n\nStrong machine design and/or stainless-steel sheet metal design required.\n\nWell-rounded background in core mechanical engineering concepts.\n\nStrong manufacturing/DFM/DFA background desired.\n\nFamiliarity or experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) standard strongly desired.\n\nFamiliarity or experience with Nuclear Glovebox, Pharmaceutical Isolator, or Pressure Vessel Design desired.\n\nSKILLS and ABILITIES:\nLANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS:\nAbility to write technical reports, correspondence, procedures and processes.\n\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\n\nAbility to coordinate and communicate with outside suppliers.\n\nAbility to write technical reports, correspondence, procedures, and process documents.\n\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as calculations, specifications and code requirements, and procedure manuals.\n\nHas In-depth knowledge of diversified, fundamental scientific mechanical engineering concepts, phenomena, and relations.\n\nHas the knowledge of development and derivation of formulas and relationships, basic assumptions made, and limitations and areas of applicability of established mechanical engineering principles, methods, and techniques.\n\nCOMPUTER SKILLS:\nCandidate must possess strong computer knowledge and be familiar with standard Microsoft Office software in addition to SolidWorks, PRO/E, AutoCad or other drafting/modeling software. Solidworks strongly preferred.\n\nREASONING ABILITY:\nAbility to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.\n\nAbility to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.\n\nAbility to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
