Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build REST APIs for marketplace, payment, and partner integrations.
• Design systems for high transaction volumes with reliability and performance.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, founders, and frontend teams to launch new features.
• Improve platform performance, security, scalability, and observability.
• Build solutions for payments, digital commerce, catalogue management, and transaction workflows.

• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience with Express.js or NestJS.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Good understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimisation.
• Experience working in product startups or high-growth environments.

Good to Have:

• Experience with fintech, payments, wallets, or marketplace platforms.
• Payment gateway and third-party API integrations.
• Experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring and observability tools.
