Pradesh\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for an IT Product Manager to lead the development of technology products and digital solutions for real-world challenges across Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock and Fisheries in Andhra Pradesh.\nThis is a hands-on product role that combines product strategy, user discovery, technology, data and field implementation.\nYou will work closely with government departments, field teams, users and technology teams to understand problems, define product opportunities and take solutions from discovery and product definition through development, pilot, deployment and scale.\nThe ideal candidate is someone who can move comfortably between a user conversation in the field, a product requirement with an engineering team, a roadmap discussion with leadership and a deployment conversation with a government stakeholder.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct Strategy & Discovery\nOwn the product lifecycle from problem discovery to deployment and continuous improvement.\nWork with users, government stakeholders and domain experts to identify problems and translate them into product opportunities.\nConduct user interviews, field visits, workshops and discovery exercises to understand workflows, pain points and unmet needs.\nDefine product vision, objectives, user personas, journeys and key use cases.\nAssess whether a problem requires a technology solution and determine where AI, data, automation or conventional software can create value.\nDevelop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with user needs, business objectives and implementation realities.\n\nProduct Definition & Delivery\nTranslate requirements into clear product specifications, PRDs, user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria.\nPrioritise features and requirements based on user value, impact, feasibility, effort and strategic importance.\nWork closely with engineering, design, data and AI teams throughout product development.\nParticipate in sprint planning, reviews, backlog refinement, UAT and release planning.\nEnsure products are designed for reliability, usability, security, scalability and maintainability.\nCoordinate pilots and production releases and ensure that learnings from implementation are incorporated into subsequent product iterations.\nManage dependencies, risks, trade-offs and product decisions across multiple stakeholders.\n\nTechnology & Data\nBe technically comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, data flows and system architecture with engineering teams.\nUnderstand how different systems can exchange data and identify opportunities for integration and interoperability.\nWork with data and AI teams to define data requirements, product workflows, analytics and AI-enabled features.\nEnsure that AI-enabled products have appropriate human oversight, explainability, data governance and operational safeguards where relevant.\nUnderstand the implications of privacy, security, access control and responsible data use in public-sector products.\n\nProduct Analytics & Improvement\nDefine product KPIs and measures of success for adoption, engagement, operational efficiency and user outcomes.\nUse product usage data, user feedback and field observations to identify opportunities for improvement.\nEstablish feedback loops between users, implementation teams and product development.\nMonitor product performance after deployment and drive continuous improvement.\n\nStakeholder & Implementation Management\nWork directly with senior government officials, departmental teams, field personnel and other ecosystem stakeholders.\nCommunicate product decisions and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nManage expectations across stakeholders while maintaining a clear product direction.\nSupport product pilots, demonstrations, training and adoption activities.\nTravel across Andhra Pradesh to understand implementation realities and work directly with users.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n4-8 years of experience in product management, preferably in technology products, SaaS, digital platforms, data products or AI-enabled products.\nStrong understanding of the end-to-end product management lifecycle.\nExperience working with engineering and design teams to build and launch digital products.\nStrong ability to convert ambiguous problems into clearly defined product requirements and priorities.\nExperience with PRDs, user stories, product roadmaps, backlog management, prioritisation and product analytics.\nGood technical understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, data and modern software systems.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving ability.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\nFluent in Telugu and English, both written and spoken.\nWillingness to be based in Vijayawada and travel regularly across Andhra Pradesh.\n\nGood to have\nExperience in one or more of the following would be valuable:\nGovernment or public-sector technology products\nAgriculture, horticulture, livestock or fisheries\nRural technology or digital public infrastructure\nAI or data products\nSaaS or enterprise software\nDigital transformation programmes\nField-based technology deployments\nWorking with state government departments or large institutional stakeholders\n\nDomain experience is not mandatory.
