You will work across teams to simulate real-world attack scenarios, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective defence mechanisms. A key part of this role involves working with Security Event Management Systems (SEMS), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to enhance monitoring, detection, and response capabilities across the environment.\nYou will contribute directly to improving threat detection, incident response, and resilience against evolving cyber threats in a fast-paced and innovative environment\nResponsibilities\nConduct threat assessments, security reviews, and penetration testing. \nOperate, tune, and optimize SEMS, IDS/IPS and EDR solutions to improve detection accuracy and response effectiveness. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security strategies and controls. \nSupport the development and execution of purple team exercises combining offensive and defensive techniques. \nDocument findings and provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture. \nAssist in incident response activities, including investigation and post-incident analysis. \nDeliver security awareness input and guidance across the organization. \nStay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. \nProven experience in a Security Engineer or similar role with a focus on purple team methodologies. \nHands-on experience with SEMS (Security Event Management Systems), IDS/IPS and EDR platforms in enterprise environments. \nStrong understanding of offensive security concepts, penetration testing tools, and techniques. \nSolid experience with defensive security operations, including SOC and incident response workflows. \nFamiliarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls). \nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and tooling. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and threat-hunting skills. \nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities. \nExperience with LogRhythm is considered a strong asset. \nExperience with Waza is considered a strong asset.\nRelevant certifications
