meetings.\nResponsibilities\nProcess all new physical therapy referrals and physician scripts, confirming diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and required documentation.\nCommunicate with patients regarding referral status, insurance details, and upcoming physical therapy appointments.\nSchedule initial evaluations and work with Office Specialist and other office staff to ensure appropriate therapist assignment and appointment availability.\nTrack referral progress and follow up on outstanding or incomplete referrals.\nMaintain accurate referral records, scanned documents, and communication logs within the EHR.\nQualifications\nMinimum EducationRequired:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent\nMinimum ExperienceRequired:\n2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or scheduling environment.\n1 year working knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, and referral processes.Preferred:\n1 year experience with PT referrals, physician scripts, and insurance authorization processes.\n1 year experience with therapy-related authorizations and Medicare/commercial insurance rules.\nKnowledge of medical terminology.\nFamiliar with healthcare information systems such as EPIC, NextGen, etc.\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities\nStrong communication skills with the ability to support both patients and clinical staff.\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple referrals and deadlines.\nProficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.\nHigh accuracy in data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.\nTime
