We work on projects of all sizes, scopes and scales, from the large M25 Project to the niche Human Drive. To lead in emerging areas that interest you, all you need to do is speak up and take the initiative.\nWe are seeking to recruit an Associate to be based in our Newcastle office to support the ongoing expansion of our Highways & Active Travel business across the Northeast. This is a key leadership role within a growing team delivering active travel, road safety, bus priority and highway improvement projects for Local Authority clients.\nYour role\nTake a leadership role within the Newcastle Highways and Active Travel team.\nDevelop and maintain client relationships across Local Authorities, as well as National Highways, Network Rail, Combined Authorities, Developers and/or major Contractors.\nIdentify and secure opportunities for business growth including leading fee proposals and contribute to major bids and framework opportunities.\nDirect multidisciplinary design teams delivering transportation schemes.\nMentor Principal Engineers, Engineers, Graduates and Apprentices.\nPromote collaboration across delivery teams.\nTrain and mentor staff including graduates and apprentices.\nAbout you\nDegree in Civil Engineering.\nChartered or Incorporated member of a relevant institution (ICE/CIHT).\nSignificant experience delivering highways, active travel and public realm projects for Local Authority clients.\nStrong commercial awareness, including fee proposals, project financial management and work winning.\nProven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.\nExperience developing and maintaining client relationships.\nExperience with Road Safety Audits.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
